I study zoology and the amount of different modules available is incredible. There have also been a few trips organised which in year 1 allowed me to make many friends on the course. read more

Just finished all 3 years of the Zoology with Marine Biology course. And I am so happy with how it went. The professors and personal tutors all want students to pass to the best of their abilities, and they couldn’t have done anything more to help and support me during my studies. Most of the professors would put some fun aspects into the lectures to ensure all students were engaging. And the field trips were amazing. I would definitely recommend. read more

the course itself is fantasticly interesting. Only a small portion of the tutors have adequate teaching skills though, and all are very poor at communicating with students. I have been told to simply Google something by a tutor before when asking a question about the content. Tutors are very unorganised just like the rest of the university, seems to be a running theme throughout the uni across all courses. read more

I love my course and the lectures are nice people HOWEVER I never get to see them? I don't have many lessons at all per week (2h per module) and no hmwk or extra learning at all ( I am in y1 tho) also I do think some of the lecturers are a tiny bit lazy...esp coming from Winstanley college where the teachers would do anything for u. My personal Course is super interesting with lots of lab and quite a few trips if you haven't done A level chem and bio tho you will find it HARD coz its a lot of a level chem not organic tho (like PH equations) . Me and like 4 ppl did get forgotten about in a pub on one of the trips tho and had to make our own way back in the dark which wasn't great. Plus most of the lectures just kinda... drank...a lot on said trip. Anyway shout out to prof chiara benovito who stayed sober on the trips and made me love marine bio this year! Never knew fish reproduction would be interesting but here we are. Also shootout to Robin. He's just a great guy idk read more
