I have thoroughly enjoyed my course, particularly because of the range of optional modules that interested me. The seminars are very inclusive and involve many class discussions and debates about certain topics. The lecturers are always helpful and the university has an easy to use system where you can book a meeting with them and discuss your work. read more

English and Communications, BA Hons FullTime

I am currently studying. The university offers an ever-evolving and engaging course of material to study - which is bound to at least touch on one or more of your interests. There's a lot of reading, so be prepared to dedicate a fair chunk of time. The communications modules are very interesting and question a lot of real-life problems, a lot of its assessments are practical or term-long. read more

Classical Studies and English, BA Hons FullTime

As most people know going into a degree containing English, the vast majority of time is taken up with independent research; which at times may make you wonder why you're paying so much per year. At UoE, however, the quality and content of available teaching is so above par, that you're happy to work by yourself when needed. Professors encourage good work and supply incredible resources to ensure that you constantly know exactly what you're doing. Learning an ancient language may at times seem daunting, but both Latin and Ancient Greek are approached thoughtfully and carefully to ensure the best available teaching goes in, so the best possible results come out. read more
