Great and responsive student hub and a beautiful campus
Great facilities, really good curriculum
I am in the NOCS which belongs to the University of Southampton. A really outstanding research center with good ambiance
There are many career services marketed but the actually quality of the support is quite disappointing.
Good facilities, lovely campus, and many different societies to join.

My time at Southampton has been enjoyable. I have taken advantage of the opportunities such as events and careers advice.
Despite its strong reputation, the university lacks systems that would better support students in balancing work and study. For example, there is no effective notification system to alert students when coursework or assignments are released, which platform they are on, and when they are due. Additionally, the institution has not fully adopted modern assessment methods, as exams are still primarily conducted on paper rather than using more up-to-date, digital approaches.
My current experience in this university has been excellent, as one of the international students I feel like I never left my home.

The university is generally not a bad place. It is well known in aspects of research and some of the great professors in the world have been here so the content is really well structured. The nationalities are still minimum ie a few africans but I haven't really faced any issue of racism

Very happy here, have many interesting clubs to join but their sports are unnecessarily expensive and require a lot of passes for the gym and insurance. The student hub is great but way easier to get a response in person than over email.

First year but so far nothing to complain about at all there’s constant emails updating about SU activities and what they are doing including events to help make friends, my society is great and was a great way of making friends. 24/7 support has always answered my queries quickly.

The accommodation was very good and the staff were very friendly, always willing to help with various matters. It was truly touching.
Overall, it's not bad. The school facilities are quite complete and they often hold some very interesting activities.
The institute offers excellent facilities, and the faculty is largely outstanding, with only a few exceptions. The teaching methodology effectively combines theoretical foundations, real-world business cases, and practical learning approaches. Industrial visits are well planned, and simulation-based learning further enhances practical understanding. Beyond academics, there are numerous student communities and committees to explore, with events and activities happening regularly at different levels, ensuring continuous engagement. The campus location is beautiful and provides a highly conducive environment for focused study and overall development. The primary challenge, however, lies in placements. Students are largely required to secure placements independently, which can be demanding and requires proactive effort.
The teaching quality is generally guaranteed; the teachers have a high level of theoretical knowledge and are very patient and responsible towards their students. We are usually quite busy with our studies, and we have a lot of homework. Discussions with the teachers in class are challenging, but we are very engaged and happy! Business, engineering, computer science, and statistics majors in Nan'an are generally quite demanding and stressful.
Studying at the University of Southampton has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and four key aspects have made my time here truly exceptional: the campus facilities, clubs and societies, the Students’ Union (SU), and careers support—all of which I’d rate a perfect five stars. The campus facilities are state-of-the-art; I’ve loved using the modern study spaces and leisure areas, which make balancing coursework and downtime so easy. Then there are the clubs and societies—I joined a photography club and a sports team, and they’ve let me meet amazing friends who share my interests, turning the campus into a second home. The SU is a total highlight too: it’s super organised, runs fun events nonstop, and always has my back if I need support. Finally, the careers service has been invaluable. They’ve given me personalised advice, connected me to internships, and helped me map out my career path—something I really appreciate as an international student.
The school boasts comprehensive facilities and abundant educational resources. You can watch replays of each class and communicate with excellent professors online. There are also numerous laboratories and computer rooms, making it very convenient to conduct experiments and complete assignments on campus. The scenery of the school is also breathtaking. Overall, studying at the University of Southampton is an excellent experience.
Studying and living at the University of Southampton is just so comfortable. There are delicious dining halls and supermarkets available for students from all over the world, and the prices are very reasonable. The teachers are humorous and interesting in class but also very strict in teaching. They reply to emails quickly and offer patient and detailed guidance. There are many convenient buses on campus, including discounted night buses. The campus is filled with flowers, trees, and benches, creating a very pleasant environment. All public areas are very clean and the students are very friendly.

Very good University, lecturers know what they are doing, lots of facilities including a large gym, a pharmacy and groceries are all within 5 minutes of walking in campus, there are LOTS of buses with a great system and with the Unilink app you can travel all around Southampton. That does need Internet so mobile data is necessary if you're not in campus though. Overall a very good Uni, would recommend

I’ve been at ONCAMPUS for about 3 weeks now, and it’s been a great start. The staff are helpful, the classes are well-organized, and everything feels really supportive so far. It’s been easy to settle in, and I’ve already met some great people. Still early days, but I’m feeling positive and looking forward to what’s next.

The WSA campus is just beautiful with ducks and more wildlife surrounding it. As the WSA campus is in Winchester it feels like we are often forgotten about by the SU, we have very little societies and clubs.
i absolutely love it here, the buildings and outside areas are super pretty and the staff are incredibly friendly and i love everything about it this was the perfect choice - the only issue is the wifi isnt that great, its not privatised for uni students so anyone in the public area can use it so when its especially busy the wifi is super slow which is annoying in lectures other than that i love everything

As an international student, my experience at the University of Southampton has been positive overall. The campus and facilities are very good — everything is well-maintained and easily accessible, with not much to complain about. There are many excellent clubs and societies to join, which makes it easy to meet new people and explore different hobbies and interests. The Students’ Union is decent and does its job, though it’s nothing particularly special compared to other universities. The Careers Service is a real strength here. They go above and beyond to support students with placements, graduate jobs, and further study opportunities. Their advice and resources are genuinely helpful. The internet and Wi-Fi on campus are generally good enough for studying, and any issues that arise tend to be resolved in a reasonable time. Overall, the University of Southampton offers a strong student experience, especially in terms of career support and extracurricular opportunities.
I think the teaching facilities of the school are very advanced, and the campus environment is also very nice. There are numerous clubs here, and I really like and am satisfied with it. There are also courses on career planning. However, I feel that the number of job opportunities provided in the field of music is relatively small. I hope more such positions can be added.

The boldrewood campus is fairly new, as a result everything is clean, well-kept and organised. There are plenty of study spaces and leisure areas all around, everything is clear to get to and pleasant to work in.

The internet connection is sometimes unstable, and the signal in the classrooms isn’t very good. But overall, it’s quite good.
The library at the Winchester campus has very limited opening hours compared to the Highfield campus, which is open 24 hours a day. In addition, there are very few events organised at the Winchester campus. I also hope the canteen can offer more Chinese food options, as there are many Chinese students, and the current meals are not very suitable for us.
I have stayed at vita for 3 years now and can say I’m sad to be leaving this summer. I have felt extremely comfortable living here. The staff are amazing. The pay is worth the stay!! They have many free facilities like the gym, which is very convenient as a uni student. They have lots of events which allows us to socialise, learn new things and just rewind from a stressful day. I’ll hands down say I have no complaints at all. I will definitely miss living at vita and I can say I’ve had a wonderful wonderful experience here. If I had to say one thing about vita student it would be; they are a home and a family 💕

Top tier university, lots of facilities for engineering. Societies available for everyone. Bus stop in the middle of campus that can take you anywhere in the city with reliable schedules.
Overall, I have really enjoyed my first year at Uni and I can't understate how amazing the societies are and how important they are to Uni life. It's a great way to meet lifelong friends.
Lovely campus with lots of green outdoor space which is a nice environment to study in. Lots of food options around campus. Student's Union is nice and has lots of events though they aren't always the best (good place to meet people though). Student Union has an advice centre which is super helpful if you are having issues with landlords, the university/academic issues etc. The careers service is great, with regular opportunities for meetings with them to help with anything from CV to interviews, to just having a chat about general career advice.
