Really nice study spaces and there are lots of places to eat on or near campus. There are so many societies to be a part of too. Teh student union is good and has good representatives as well! The careers service constantly send emails to check in and send advice and resources for us too!

Definately a great place for student studying. The teachers here are very nice and help us asap. It’s really a wonderful experience to study here!
I consider university of Birmingham a great and intellectual university. A place for international student.
It is good university with a good support system for its students.
Always clean, very professional environment, friendly receptionist
Good with high quality equipment
Love it here. Great facilities, academic staff and societies to join.
It is a good university. Good staff, good teaching skills, good uni life style even social life as well.
Very convenient and comfortable living environment, very, very close to shopping mall station. Nice apartment. The staff in the apartment are very nice and kind. Especially Zara Gulistan and Stella, who have given me a lot of warm support
Great location, great accommodation and great service
Great studying experience ,I love it
I love this university. I have been here for more than three Years and I met a lot of people here. The staff in our school are very nice. Professors are so warm that they always reply our emails quickly.
School is exactly what I’ve expected
With a beautiful campus and excellent study facilities, it gives a very reassuring atmosphere to study.
Couldn’t think of anywhere better to live. Really close to everything, interior is beautiful and staff are lovely :)
perfect school scenes. Great building styles and brand new facilities. Really kind teachers. All of these make cool university!
nice facilities and kind people there
Beautiful campus, perfect facilities, nice people!
Lovely 🥰 l like the en-suite environment here
The online learning system is poorly designed. Library had ridiculous opening hours because of Covid - why even bothering opening it all? Either keep it open 24 hours as normal or don't open it at all! This brings me on to my next point, and my main gripe - I simply can't give a University who gets rid of so many staff at a moments' notice a good review. Made for terrible service - it takes weeks to get a response from anybody - and I feel sorry for your staff who were clearly stressed out. When I went to an opening day there were students who were protesting because the University was not paying its student workers - this was PRE-COVID so there wasn't even a good excuse for this. Would recommend any other Russell Group institution over this one. A real shame, as it is a beautiful campus and there are some great lecturers here, but the bureaucracy stinks.
The university provides a wonderful environment to learn in.
UOB is good. I spent an unforgettable time there
Decent university, the careers service is very helpful.
I love it here and I wouldn’t change my course or university for anything else. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Sophie Boyron especially goes above and beyond, she is supportive and an amazing tutor/academic.
I have lived here for one year. All the furnishings are totally new and clean. It is worth mentioning that there is Chinese reception whose soooo enthusiastic and kind!!!!
The staffs at school are nice. The university is beautiful.
Great service here! The staff is very kind and helpful.
Birmingham city university is a place where you feel like home especially with uni staff, as an international student I feel like I'm not alone
Excellent university in every possible way. Outstanding professors and staff. Beautiful campus and facilities. Offers several social activities both for academic and non academic purposes. Great student support.
I think our campus is very good. very beautiful. But because of COVID-19, I have no social this year. Th wifi is just so so.The career service is good, I receive many email regarding the career service
Campus is beautiful. Medical school is really good with good facilities. The wifi could be better but this is excusable!
It is really a perfect apartment that gives me a homecoming experience. I met a lot of friends here and my neighbors are all very friendly and warmhearted. We built snowmen in the yard, which was our best memory during the lockdown.
A great and genuine University focused on quality of study and welfare of its students.
The University internet is bad
I have not been able to use any of the facilities much due to covid
bad for my mental health and little help, have ttired to help as best they can but commnication is often poor
I would choose different uni. like manchester or bristol
didn’t really get to go in campus.
I have completed a Master's and a PGDipEd course at the University of Birmingham and am very happy with it! The campus is beautiful and the uni has a great reputation for a reason. I really enjoyed my time at UoB and can 100% recommend studying there!
If you're looking for a campus-based University, the University of Birmingham is just for you. There's lots of greenery, diversity and, openness as well!
It is a very good university. Although I did not have a thorough look at the whole university due to the epidemic, the school attaches great importance to the mentality and learning level of students
Great university with a really nice campus
I highly recommend this student accommodation and the cost performance is high
The environment is great, the staff is very nice, and the Chinese reception is very nice
The Toybox is really a nica amazing ans perfect place, every staff here is fantastic, the service is nice and the transportation is really convenient ,highly recommend
The university of Birmingham is a top 100 university
The school environment is fantastic and the teachers are very responsible. It is a good school
I studied the distance learning MATESOL course with Birmingham and would definitely not recommend it. I had a fantastic tutor and she helped me a lot throughout the master's, but their online programme only consists of articles that you should read for each module and videos of no longer than 4 minute for each unit. Many of the recommended readings aren't in the e-library and you have to look for them yourself. The support you get while writing the dissertation is almost non-existent. However, the university is very quick to catch any mistake you might commit. The university accused me of plagiarism for using the wrong technique in referencing, which I now understand was wrong, but throughout the 2 years of my studies, I was using the same wrong technique (without knowing so) and was never corrected. At the end, the university concluded that I was guilty of plagiarism and refused admitting its part in having no support from the supervisor and wrongfully grading my assignments for 2+ y
I honestly don’t see myself in any school but the great University of Birmingham. The tutors at the school of Education are of top tier quality and I’m proud to be a “soon to be alumnus” of this world class institution
I like this apartment. It's new and comfortable. I like the reception sister, very beautiful and friendly!
Very good and wonderful experience
The accommodation is beautiful! I feel comfortable here
I enjoyed my time on campus at the University of Birmingham, but unfortunately Covid cut that time quite short.
Great university, lovely campus and friendly people
Soooooo good! It’s lucky to choose TB. Especially the reception, really nice!
University of Birmingham is quite good! The teachers are all very nice and very helpful. I can ask them any questions and they are willing to help me and encourage me!
Due to the COVID , we not really can enjoy all the things in school. But it’s really a beautiful school with nice view.
havent get a chance to visit the campus due to COVID
The actual facilities of the university are relatively nice and you have access to a lot of buildings 24 / 7. Careers fairs are generally good and organised relatively frequently (pre-covid). A lot of societies to choose from. The students union is however useless. Landlords and estate agents regularly take the piss in overcharging and fines and the students union doesn't do anything about it. They don't even have a list of endorsed letting agents. I believe it's because previously we've only ever had people running who have campaigned on small issues without every proposing any change. Also mental health services are abismal, just go to the GP don't waste your time.
Great university with a lot of opportunities
nice environment, beautiful scenery, so lucky to live here.
Very good. I like it very much.
It is a beautiful university. And its quality of master is very good. I have a good experience.
The last senior recommended toybox, I booked one decisively. First of all, the location is very convenient, five minutes' walk to the city center. Secondly, the apartment facilities are complete, there is a gym, coffee shop, laundry, printers and so on, the daily needs can be met. Finally, the most important thing is that the accommodation is quite good, each room is equipped with infrastructure, as well as a vacuum cleaner. Living in tb will also give gifts to households on New year's Day, and problems can be properly resolved on the same day. I am very satisfied with this!
High cost performance environment, considerate staff, patient service, worthy of recommendation!
The uni has such good facilities it's crayzayy.
While COVID and many other issues have not been dealt with well, the campus is beautiful and there are some truly great members if staff
Terrible university experience. Vice chancellor and central management have no respect or concern for students or their mental health and well-being. They only seem to care about the status of the uni and attracting prospective students - this review should put you off.
Very awesome experience so far. The teaching staff are quite friendly and usually helpful.
toybox in birmingham is amazing with excellent working stuff who are so nice and kind
I studied at this university for 5 years. I have achieved a first in my undergraduate and a pass in my postgraduate (social work) course. The social work in particular was a joke agreed by all my fellow students. Everything from admin to teachers are highly disorganised and lack motivation. You can't find someone to help you so if you join this course you're on your own. We hardly had any teaching as most of this was self directed learning. this is when basically you read staff yourself cause they haven't got any teachers. The finance office is the worst, thy kept chasing me with invoices instead of invoicing the Social work bursary, there is no communication between departments and if you overplayed your tuition fees GOOD LUCK with that... please make sure that you keep receipts because you'll need them when you take them to court for a refund. I regret choosing this appalling university for my postgraduate course. I hope you have a better experience
Nice campus, very big, the buildings are beautiful, WiFi is good!
the uni is very beautiful and the professors here are always kind to teach you and answer you any questions. that is very nice to study here.
My university is beautiful and the teachers are openminded, they can teach you in different ways to let u know more about what they taught u.
I am a current undergraduate at the university and I have to say I wish there was a rating for social support . Absolutely horrendous that there is no social support if you're struggling mentally. You get sign posted to talk to a wellbeing officer at the school your subject is a part of . To get to this you have to navigate through the labyrinth of online pages to even locate this option. University of cambridge, in comparison, offers you a whole professional team that consist of CBT specialists, not just "wellbeing officers" who, at best, are able to give you "extensions" on your deadlines - wtf am I supposed to do with an extension when I don't have the motivation to get out of bed. Honestly, barring the years during which the pandemic is rife the university is probably a fine institution to study at. If you know you are somebody who needs support the facade of "wellbeing officers" and lack of clarity of what help is available should deter you from applying here.
response to coronavirus has been terrible. I was given no work from March until the start of the next academic year except for one piece of bridging coursework which wasn't graded and quite frankly a waste of half an hour. my course is great but I wish the uni would pay the VC less and invest more in the wellbeing of the students.
Fantastic place to study. Clubs and societies are very active. There are many free events and opportunities to bond with people from your course as well as from other courses. Career services are very competent, and helpful. The school has a good connection with employers and hold many great events to enhance employability skills.
Uob is a good uni obviously however the history department has a lot to be desired.
If you want to complete the MSc Psychology program here ... BEWARE. After an 8-month dispute with my School, I received 40% of my tuition funds back, a recommendation was made to the School of Psychology, and an apology was given. This occurred because the expected level of practical research experience and support needed for me to flourish both within and beyond this institution unjustifiably lacked and in turn made Ph.D. placements and securing a job in my field futile. Throughout my time there I received a complete lack of support from my supervisor that aided in the overall lack of research experience I was able to receive. Despite the multiple attempts I made to allow staff to determine alternative solutions, their dismissals on all fronts and its resulting repercussions were enough to warrant a complaint. I would NOT recommend.
Libraries are overcrowded but you can find some place to study. Sometimes there's a problem with WiFi. There's not enough staff who can help you and you need to wait in a queue or for a response via email. Worklink is a joke that can't pay an accurate amount of money and it's hard to be hired because many students look for a job. Guild it's helpful at all.
The disinfection method is very perfect, the service at the front desk is very warm-hearted
University of Birmingham was a good place to be generally
Great University - campus life is the best!!!
So beautiful campus with nice tutors and students. The greatest equipments services. I enjoyed my time
Uob, best university ever. Recommend visiting the new green heart
Close to city center. Friendly staff
one of the amazing universities in the world with the best student support
Few complaints except that constant striking meant I missed most of my second term and the WiFi occasionally goes down. Aside from that it is a great campus with loads of societies and events (e.g. vintage sales)
very good experience, enjoy my one year post graduate life here
The school environment is very good, everybody to learn enthusiasm is very high, learning environment is good
Beautiful university. Great classes.
I enjoy my university life at University of Birmingham, learned a lot of new things and also made friends with people from other countries.
Very good university for international students
我们在这里过得很愉快。该地区非常好,所有人看起来都很好。桑迪和萨尔曼真的很好。
Overall very good university. Better than oxford and harward
All the university cares about is taking money from you and not providing you with what you need to be an academic. They pester you to pay fees, yet when you want some compensation for missed lectures due to strikes and corona virus they refer you to a useless website with links which send you round to the same page you began with. When you take matters into your own hands and email there will be no helpful response. Staff are unhelpful and don’t intend on assisting with growth. You can’t even get a decent WiFi connection at the university.
the campus at the uni is the nicest campus of any uni i have visited and the new facilities are great
A great uni experience apart from the wifi being inconsistent at points and inevitable inconsistencies within departments
Great campus and facilities, active student union and plethora of societies.
UoB is a great university. They worked closely with students trying to get money back from partner accommodation during the corona virus lockdown and have been a big help.
Very good university, I can gain access to help and support for my studies from teachers and professors. I am happy to study here.
