Please bring some more experienced faculties with better ability to teach.
The first four weeks at Aston University studying Cyber Security have been both exciting and challenging. From day one, I was introduced to the basics of the field, including foundational concepts in network security, cryptography, and risk management. Adjusting to university life has been an interesting transition—getting used to managing my time between lectures, assignments, and personal study has been key. I’ve also started meeting fellow students and forming connections, which has made the process easier. The lecturers are knowledgeable, and I’m finding the practical side of the course, like labs and exercises, particularly engaging. Overall, it’s been an eye-opening experience so far, and I’m looking forward to diving deeper into the subject matter in the coming weeks.
The staff is amazing and very responsive.The campus is beautiful and huge.The student activities has so many things going on all the time,events and everything so you donot feel lonely.There is also games and cafe and music on campus.It was a joy studying at Aston and i lived on campus and so can you.
The university is great for career help and advice! However I believe they could provide and offer more support/ academic help when needed
All the teaching being done in the massive main building is convenient for the uni but I think takes away from the student experience a bit. Very little food services on campus and a bit pricier than other unis but still affordable. SU doesn't have much to it but the pool tables and weekly quizzes are a nice touch.
Lovely campus, great university! Faculty members are supportive, attentive, and passionate about reflecting real-life experiences and skills needed for the chosen career path. The student union goes above and beyond to help with social and academic problems, and provide solid financial and accommodation advice. The clubs and societies cover a wide range of interests and have ongoing activities including member exclusive and welcome/social events. All in all a great experience!

I am so glad I chose Aston University as it gives a very community based feel and I totally felt at home. The campus is in a great location with the city centre only a 10 minute walk away. The lecture halls are very accommodating and the study spaces are very nice! Overall the university is a great place to study with its own library and an amazing student union!!
Good university, experienced a lot. Once help from the university, I'm homeless now, can you support me an accommodation?

Top-notch university with all the resources a student could ever dream of. There's strong support for wellbeing as well. Great communication and accommodation of all personality types (introverts included).
I had an excellent experience with unite students Curzon house. Team here in the reception Mr Kobby doing a fantastic job here giving 24/7 service.
Good university, great staff, psychology programme great!
Overall, there are alot of planned events and activities organised by the Students Union so there is an opportunity for those that are interested to make new friends based on common interests.

The facilities and campus is great, many to choose from. The careers service is really helpful too
onyx is an amazing accommodation to live in, the staff are wonderful, the appliances are great and the staff are always there to help if needed , no complaints about this accom at all
I was in a room which made my experience throughout uni not great . Laeticia the staff at unite helped me tremendously she is a star! She constantly helped me and kept me updated making sure everything was okay and even found me a new room to move into ! Ever since I’ve been happy and I owe it to her .
I had the privilege of being assisted by Laeticia from the student experience team. Her personalized attention and dedication were truly remarkable. She helped me review my case diligently. Her professionalism and commitment made a significant difference in resolving my situation. I highly recommend Laeticia for her exceptional service and support.

Very good at the university especially when it comes to your options with getting involved with any clubs/ societies, so many options. I would definitely recommend everyone to get involved with at least one.

The location is best and staff is too good. 24 hours security is available. The Common rooms, cinema room, gym all things are there inside the accommodation which is good for a student to come to onyx.

It has been a great experience until now
Onyx is a great accommodation for anyone who likes socialising. The accommodation holds events for students to meet new people and make friends, as well as the best communal area to socialise and chill indoors. You get a lot for the price you’re paying, and everything is close to you and in walking distance. The staff at onyx are so kind and helpful, they remember names and faces and always do their best to help aswell as the security team. I’ve come back to onyx for my final year and it’s a really good decision, I enjoy living here a lot!
I have only stayed here for one day so I haven't explored all the facilities yet.
Aston is the best University because of it's location and also the student union
I dropped out of Aston halfway through year to study at BCU instead. Didn’t really find many friends and half the lectures were online which made it feel like there was no point in moving to Birmingham for uni. There were so many people on the course and in lecture halls that it was hard to contribute or interact during.

Better internet. More individual building use. Better incentives to join clubs and events
Aston University is a reputable institution that focuses on prioritising your employability, they are not a Russell Group University but that is not everything! Aston University's prestige lies in its ability to get you employed in a sector and job you're happy with
