The campus is located in a picturesque area and the university has recently build some new buildings. They look nice and have upgraded technology. Teaching quality that I experienced was honestly excellent. The small class setting was much better than the first university that I've attended where lectures could fill up to 200 people. I could actually learn in a smaller setting and had the opportunity to befriend lecturers. This is a great university for those who want to be able to focus on their studies and for those who want strong academic support. I honestly think the university should rank higher in many aspects. Social life is not going to be as great as other universities located in big cities. But I think student unions tried their best. With smaller student population, you could make really really good friends and meet many people. The student body is made up of 2/3 international students, I believe. It's great. Pre-Covid when I travelled I could visit my friends.
Decent overall - very small. Enjoy my course (med) but not a normal uni experience. If you want to do med don’t be put off for sure come!
The university provides a great learning experience, however, in my experience the accommodation fails to meet certain expectations .
Great experience, small campus which allows a tightly knit community within the university. Lots of events to choose from!
Loved the personal experience which was made possible by the staff : student ratio. Interacting with academics at the top of their filed in small group and on a one-to-one basis made for a rich academic experience. Always felt taken care of, and staff were keen to improve student experience based on feedback. Same goes for the SU — I managed to set up several societies during my time in Buckingham!
