Entry requirements for Medicine and Dentistry and Medicine at The University of Manchester

Entry requirements are the formal requirements students need to meet to be considered for a place on a university course. But, each year many universities accept students with lower grades. The bar chart below shows the actual UCAS tariff points of students currently on this course.

Required subjects for School of Medical Sciences International Foundation Programme Foundation at The University of Manchester

- To be eligible applicants must meet the requirements for alternative international qualifications that would not normally be considered for entry to A104/A204 or A106/A206. Initially entry requirements will be published for the Kuwaiti Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama, the Saudi Tawjihiyah and the Emirati Tawijihiyya (all of which are benchmarked by NARIC at UK GCSE standard and so would render applicants to be ineligible for the main programmes). Students admitted via this route are NOT eligible for automatic progression to A106/A206 and must apply to that programme during the standard admissions cycle. Entry grades o 90% or better overall in either the Kuwaiti Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama, the Saudi Tawjihiyah or the Emirati Tawijihiyya with 90% in two individual sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Psychology or Mathematics). o IELTS for UKVI at grade 6.0 overall and no less than 6.0 in any of the individual domains.* o If Mathematics is not offered as one of the two required sciences it must be offered at 70% in the Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama, Tawjihiyah or the Tawijihiyya. Applicants sitting only AS-Levels can be considered but would need to achieve AAA including two individual sciences (from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Psychology or Mathematics).

Lots of opportunities to talk to patients and practice skills once in clinical years. Teaching could be more towards testing rather than prompting you to self-learn which students already do anyways. A bit too relaxed on students who are lazy and don't contribute to the class. read more
