Lectures are mostly uninspiring, with lecturers reading from a PowerPoint and not interacting well, and then we are told ‘the best students will go beyond the lectures and read, etc, etc’ without much inspiration to do so. Assignments are uninteresting, but the module content itself is great. It helps that I’m still interested in biology, but the module structure does not reflect science learning or knowledge building culture well. Students silently sit in lectures and then mostly teach content ourselves. Lab access was decent, but I pay the same amount in third year despite no lab use at all. It’s been good at points, but overall disappointing. read more
