Dentistry, BDS Hons FullTime

Dentistry has been my life passion and I really wanted to choose the best possible experience for me- I’m really glad I came here because the early patient exposure really helps to put the theory into perspective and actually makes me feel like I’m going to be a future dentist! I recommend Barts and the London, and the students are also really nice and supportive read more

Studying medicine at QMUL is intense but rewarding. Teaching is a mix of lectures, small groups, and early clinical exposure, so you don’t just sit in lecture halls all the time. You get placements across East London hospitals, which means you see a wide range of patients and conditions. The course is well-structured, but like most med schools the admin side can be a bit slow. There’s a strong student community, and lots of societies linked to medicine if you want to get involved. It’s definitely challenging, but you come out well-prepared for clinical practice. read more

I love my course. A lot of work but it’s very fun. Only downside I would say is - you don’t get great feedback on work and any one to one teaching feels very rushed. Also they don’t give you back your exam at the end of the year to see where you’ve gone wrong. read more
