In current conditions caused by COVID-19, the online teaching was not the best, but in a reasonable way. It also made it more difficult to receive support. However, the course content is pretty good, as well as job prospects. read more

Computer Science is a great depairtment. Many of the staff and demonstrators are helpful and kind. The reception staff are fantastic. There are a few staff members which arent helpful at all. But overall i'd recommend computer Science at ncl uni to others. read more

Teaching quality can be hit and miss depending on the lecturer, but I don't imagine this is any different with other Universities. You will find lecturers who's style you enjoy and those who you don't. I will say that on average it is pretty good, and the Stage 1 support in place is brilliant for transitioning students. Value for money is a three because University in general is a scam for money - you'll slowly realise that most students pay for Powerpoint driven lectures. I guess the blow was soften a tad with Computer Science given the investment in facilities surrounding it. read more

Had a large number of contact hours in all of my years which made me feel like I was getting a good value for my money, teaching quality was mostly good other than the occasional lecturer who's accent was too hard to understand, tutors were always helpful, content was slightly outdated but all very useful and the job prospects are some of the best around. read more

Lots of course flexibility (can easily change between the other CompSci courses such as Game Programming) as well as the options of combined masters and industrial year which you can switch onto later. Course content is very interesting. Most tutors are excellent with one or two exceptions (Computer Architecture is a pain for most people). read more
