Good area. Mostly all present within the area. But around the university or on campus could do with a shop so could pick up a few things when not much time.

Public Transport

Gillingham is well positioned for easily getting into central London (it takes about 1 hour on the train), as well as seeing the sights across the South East of England. There are extensive bus routes and PlusBuses provide student discounts if you have the 16-25 railcard. Gillingham isn’t a large place, however, so you may find that walking is the cheapest and easiest way to get about!

Shopping

Gillingham has a large Asda, as well as a Tesco Express, to do your weekly shopping in. Whilst the town itself doesn’t have a huge variety of shops, the Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre is a mere 20 minutes drive away from the Medway School of Pharmacy, featuring a good selection of high street names.
