Was amazingly clean when I first walked in, the colour scheme was very nice and I loved the auto-locking doors, which make me feel very safe at night.

Overall, the accommodation is decent, I like Tooting Broadway in particular due to the variety of shops and food markets

I have only been in this dorm for about a week and a little more. I think it's an acceptable size, especially considering I come from Hong Kong, so my room here is already like 2x larger than my one at home. I know the other rooms have better interactions with their neighbours but because my kitchen is just a long strip with not many places to sit and chat, I rarely see my neighbours which makes it quite isolating. Also not a lot of hall events go on here, and my friends who stay at other dorms all say their common rooms are way better than the one here so, I'm slightly disappointed about that. The shuttle bus service is nice, though I do wish there were slightly earlier trips starting from 3pm from Tooting Broadway because sometimes class ends early, and also later trips like until 8:30pm because some students work late.

furzedown does the job, however it is far from the tube station, luckily we have a shuttle bus but on the weekend this does not run. no social activities even when stated, e.g 'the pizza night' everyone gets the first evening to meet everyone did not happen, nor any other social activities. the security are not very reliant, any flat/kitchen is accessible

It's been a good place to stay, cheaper than other accomodations and pretty well connected. Only issues I have are the kitchens being tiny and not very good for cooking with other people, I tend to avoid the space when another person is in there which means I don't know a lot of my flatmates.

I had a fine experience, the rooms were decent but I personally hated the tiny windowless kitchen (though the worst thing about the kitchen was the other students who would throw shredded cheese and rice and bacon grease everywhere and never empty the sink) the staff were generally ready to help with any problem but sometimes it took a while. Had a unique experience where the roof in my room started leaking in the middle of the night because of rain - staff gave me another room temporarily but it did take 3 weeks for them to start the task I think. Commute to uni from there was pretty good band had decent access to shops and relative ease of travel to other places. Overall halls in general was probably not a great option for me personally but the price, predictability and ease (not having to sort out individual bills and stuff for a year) and being able to know people in your building for social and safety were all good things.

big up furzedown!! i’ve been living here for 6 months and considering this place is the cheapest UAL accomodation its not half bad. the staff are super lovely, especially the daytime manager (love u bro) and the cleaners work their bootys off to keep the place tidy. if ur a smoker, the shed is the place for you it’s literally my comfort space and i’ve met incredible friends there. i have a single en-suite and am really pleased with it i would recommend ur main priority when moving in being making ur room cosy by getting mood lighting/projector/comfort items though because it really makes the difference I PROMISE YOU!! am planning on being here for my entire 3 years and honestly can’t wait <3

terrible experience do not reccomend, not even that cheap, far from tube, advertised that there was a shuttle bus to the tube but false advertisement, staff are very slow to fix anything wrong with your room need several reminders and way too far from zone 1 literally go here if it's your last resort because it was mine

Management is absolutely appalling. An overpriced student accommodation with no care for its residents. I strongly urge people to look elsewhere. As you can get much better Accomidation for less money

I have been a resident at cedar hall for 2 years now and my experience has been excellent. The manager here,(Carmelo) has been a pleasure to call my landlord, always available to take my enquires, give advice or even just for a chat. The site is just a short walk to the bus stop, the Furzedown village gym and the corner shop. Super convenient and accessible. I would highly recommend the cedar hall student accommodation

Covid-19: They have implemented restrictions to stop group gatherings, extra precautions have also been taken from the cleaners

Living in Furzedown student village since last 2 years. I can say the management team is really helpful and available whenever you need them. During this time of pandemic where we are away from our family the management is very supportive and are very vigilant for students safety . The accommodation is clean and maintaining the hygiene standards.

Covid-19: Yes a lot. They have made sure students are following social distancing and are being extra careful in cleanliness.

Terrible place. When I arrived I found a used sanitary towel in my en-suite, I found drugs stuffed behind my mattress and blood in the shower. All this in a room that is meant to have been cleaned for the next student. Staff are rude and unwelcoming. On the social side of things; it is difficult. No tables in the kitchens as there is no room. The kitchens are like corridors. Overall experience has been dreadful.

Ok so I've been here for like 3 years and i can say its not that bad. Like yay its quite far away from zone 1 but I'm close to my uni. I'm on the top floor and the views are rocking and the social space aint that bad. I hate carpet so I'm glad the floors don't have sodding carpet!! I have an ensuite so small but clean and good cupboards. can't comment on staff, i didn't hang out with them but they gave me post and deal with my late rent! Ha!

I HAVE NOT LIVED HERE. BUT WENT TO VISIT. REAL OPINION!!!! I am starting university as of September, and was itching to do halls like all of my friends. I looked at furze down because it was closest to my uni and also part of the UAL halls. The website is a complete and utter SHAMBLES. I don't know who took the photos for the website but it must of been in a different building. The area isn't the nicest, not close to any shops and right next to a secondary school. The common room is poorly decorated and feels dirty, the gym is about the only thing good they have going, and even that looked different to how it was shown on the website. The rooms are tiny, with no carpet and the kitchens smell and have no windows. I would never of come to visit and drive the distance if I had known how bad this accommodation was going to be.

Most of the rooms are quite hot in from June. There is a poor school beside the building, those children are unpolite and too noisy, they will disturb your life seriously. Even the nearest underground, which, you still need to spend 20 minutes walking to there. When you leave the stuffs will always deduct money of 60 pounds which is unreasonable due to so called cleaning fees.

The wifi isn't great, facetime calls always get cut off & tabs are slow to load. The staff so far are pretty nice and the cleaning service is great. The social setup sucks, there isn't really anywhere to chill with flatmates besides the kitchen which doesn't have much seating, or the downstairs common area. The allotted space in the kitchens is VERY limited, plan on storing things in your room. Because the kitchens are tiny, each ensuite room has a personal fridge in it, which has its ups and downs but definitely prevents mooching. The doors to each room lock automatically after they are closed (like a hotel room) so accidentally locking yourself out of your room is almost a guarantee. It seems like the building itself just wasn't very well thought out. On the upside, the rent-included onsite gym and shuttle service to the tube station are nice added perks. I've only been living here for about three weeks and so far it's pretty meh, but thus is the nature of student accommodation.

In short, don't do it. This place is full of insects as the building is falling apart despite being "renovated". Furthermore, staff here are unhelpful, can't speak much English and don't really care about your well being. The neighbours here tend to get drunk on cheap booze and leave broken glass every where, you will find chain smokers outside the front door and they are also indecent enough to take your clothes out of the washing machines to use your credit. Complaints to staff members don't help either as most of them are just exchange students working for a place to stay. Bottom line, this place is designed by a 1 year old, none of the facilities in the en-suite rooms make sense, from the over sized wardrobe to the sink that's knee height. The location of the halls isn't great either, you tend to be far away from any type of transport and there are always a haze of flies along with shady people hanging around at night.

Rooms are basic at best, really not worth the hefty rent charges. Silverfish are a prominent issue in a lot of people's bathrooms. Reception barely speak any English, making them extremely unhelpful. The only advantage to the location is the tube station, it's otherwise quite an unpleasant area. Management are rude and lack any care towards their tenants - they changed the locks on my door without even telling me because my rent was a few weeks late due to student finance messing up my application, and threatened court action despite being giving proof that I was getting student finance the following week. Also the website neglects to mention that the building is situated right in the middle of a secondary school - many of the tenants are woken up at the crack of dawn by screaming kids on their days off. Don't bother with this place unless you don't mind basic living conditions, overpriced rooms and rude staff.

The building is falling apart and gave one student pneumonia due to the damp conditions, The management and staff and cold, uncaring and unhelpful in the extreme. The common room is small and in the reception area which makes it awkward to walk through. The location is good for students at Wimbledon but poor for everyone else and too far out of central London. My personal social experience was poor. It is the cheapest of the UAL halls, compared to the others it is ok value for money
