Worst place I have ever been in my life. No one cares about repairing stuff. All Solent accommodation team cares about is money. It's a shame.

Things keep breaking, considering I pay more to live here then my maintenance loan gives me, the fact that things break, there’s a silver fish infestation, the rooms are tiny and the lorry’s shake the rooms as they go past in the early hours of the morning it’s not good value for money, I can’t wait to get out
The halls were dirty, everything broke and there was a constant smell of weed
Yeah pretty prefect, meet friends for life here!
Cheapest & just been refurbished so it's so nice you get daily cleaners and has nice little bathrooms/kitchens: although it's not ensuite... 10/12 minute walk to uni and 5 to shops/highstreet/city centre. 15/20 to clubs. Best common room of all halls.
I had the most amazing time at Chantry. It’s the cheapest but definitely not the worst option and you quickly get used to the shared bathroom - made a lot of friends through a shared bladder timing. It can be noisy, when I was there in 2014 I was on the floor above “c**k floor” (a floor made entirely of guys) and they liked to come up and prank us often. You can’t get onto each other’s floors without a fob so unless someone lets people in, during freshers pre drinking music hours (9-11pm) and other than the 3am rush of people drunkenly walking into the walls of the corridor as they try and get to bed, it wasn’t that noisy. The layout of the floors also means you get to know more people rather than being stuck in a flat of 6. Internet didn’t ever go down when I was there but I know that my friends who would play PS4 online had some issues. It was my third choice of halls when I applied but now I’m so glad I got given Chantry because I had the best year and made so many friends.
We were nicknamed "c*** floor" - 40 lads on the same floor, needless to say we had a lot of fun. Very messy, but made a lot of friends. Massive common room, very sociable halls and situated in close proximity to other halls and the university.
what can i say. the wifi cuts out, cleaning is minor, and security? hahaha forget security they are as unhelpful s a popsicle stick!!
I was in red kitchen first floor. We had a huge spacious toilet/shower room with NO DOOR (so the smell from toilets would leak into the hallways). The kitchen was tiny, definitely shouldn't be for 10 people and it had no window. Everything else was average. Overall it was s*** but a great experience! The social life was great and we enjoyed having a s*** halls.
