The location on site is great and value for money is good as you get your washing done for you, although their is not an option to opt out of this if you are tight on money. The cleaning was included in the price although it was lacking as they only hoovered and wiped down the kitchen even though there were meant to wipe all clear surfaces in the rooms and clean the en-suite. There is a lack of social space within the halls as ther is only a joint kitchen/dining space
Good halls for first year but internet on campus is temperamental
Best halls in my opinion. Away from SU so don’t hear the noise. Next to rugby pitches so can watch the games. Close to the library and certain classrooms. Had a fab cleaner who looked after us as if we were her kids. Well equipped rooms and kitchens which were both good sizes. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Whilst I didn’t take advantage of the social side of my halls, it didn’t stop everyone else from socialising and really using the social spaces. Halls are cleaned by lovely cleaners and the rooms are spacious with an en-suite. I’d recommend silcock halls to anyone at Harper by far the best self catered halls on campus
Incredibly fast WiFi, about 800mb/s. Located close enough to library and Student union building and campus pub to be convenient yet not too noisy. Also closely located to classrooms. Cleaned regularly by genuinely lovely cleaning staff who you soon make friends with in a hall of good quality
These halls are ideal if you want to be able to control what you eat. The facilities are ample for the amount of people in each flat and it provides you with a communal area to gather with your flatmates.
My halls were lovely and modern and everyone that i lived with made first year of university one of the best years
Wet food and clean with good cleaners
Really clean, tidy and spacious accommodation.
This was a great community feel. There were lots of opportunities to socialise within flats, buildings and between buildings.
Allowed for an awesome first year, great social space in the kitchen meant you get to know everyone in your flat and thus people from different courses. A mix of courses and genders throughout this hall allowed ease into the experience and friendships. Halls thoroughly looked after and good value for money with cleaning, laundry, WiFi and other costs included in the price.
