Environment and Media Studies, BA Hons

By On 29th July 18

It is difficult to write a review on this course as it didn't suit me at all so it may be bias (I changed course). Half of the course is based mostly on geography (even though it doesn't say you need a background knowledge of it, you do!). One of my Human Geography lecturers refused to give me extra help because he 'does the lectures' and I 'learn it myself' at home. This is fine, except for the fact I am paying £9,250 a year to learn... and I expected some help when I was struggling. Me and a few other students did feel that the group projects were unfair as you get a group mark and people can bring you down significantly. The perks were that there were some interesting discussions on media and society, and also the course group was very small so it is easy to get to know your peers closer than you would on a packed course.
