Great choice for a graphic design degree. Good artistic approach, fast internet and more than enough computers in the building.

Textiles and Surface Design, BA Hons

By member114568 On 29th April 15

I love my course, it has been amazing and dont really want to leave just yet! its the 2nd most expensive degree course (1st being photography) due to the fabric, materials, paints, threads etc we need to buy but its definitely worth it. The teaching has been good and the lecturers always have regular contact with you and always tell you if you are not on the right track, its good having feedback from your work. The course shows a vareity of different skills and textile processes such as using the sewing machine, hand stitch, embellishments with beading, digital printing, screen printing, devore, foil, flock, discharge, needle bonding and using watercolour and gouache paints effectively. We have professional practice sessions which show how to create a standard and creative CV, artist statement, personal statement, costing and pricing, setting up in business, invoices, order forms and creating a business card - its all about gaining your own idetity within your collection.
