Modern Languages and History of Art, BA Hons

Modern languages staff (Spanish) isn't helpful at all and the level of education is low. However, art history staff is very helpful and supportive, always provide as much information as possible, very responsible people. I enjoyed seminars during which we visited many museums and had a study trip to London. Modules are very engaging and there are great optional modules too.

I do Russian. Workload is ridiculous, teachers are abrupt and don't care. No support when travelling to Russia. Class is made up of snobs. French is much the same.

I do two languages. One language the teaching is good, to the point and thorough. The new language ive chosen to do however is a nightmare. I've had little to no help, the concepts are very difficult, the pace is too fast and its not enjoyable.

Great course, love every session, great variety! I love being able to study literature, politics, and history as well as my languages- but I'm not really sure where the £9000 is going

I think Birmingham offers the best Hispanic studies course, there's such a wide variety of options. For example I'm now learning basque! Which I wouldn't be able to do any where else in the country.
