I love my job now. Drama helped me become the confident, well spoken and excellent presenter (no i'm not egotistical...) that I am today. Everyone was so friendly, the lecturers were truly passionate about their subject and always had an open door policy for any problems I had during my 3 years.

I have gone straight into work after graduating from university. I worked over the Summer of Graduation as an intern for the University which gave me valuable experience and skills and I now have a job working for an arts centre as a youth theatre coordinator. My degree has helped me achieve this. My personal tutor and my course tutors have provided me with fantastic references and want to know what I am up to after my degree.
Scenography & Theatre Design/Drama & Theatre Studies, BA Hons
By member617186 On 21st October 15The course is great fun, you study all sorts of theatre practices and there is a good balance between theory and practical work. You are actively encouraged to learn through making mistakes and there is a lot of freedom to experiment with your own ideas and influences. You can create your perfect course by choosing modules that suit your interests rather than everything being compulsory. The department building is brilliant; all of the tech is up to industry standard and there are multiple performances spaces to rehearse and perform in.

By member95317 On 26th March 15Obviously, you get what you pay for. It's a really well rounded course that teaches you every aspect of theatre, on stage and off. If you can deal with lectures great, lucky you! Firsts all round! Everyone else, cry. There is a LOT of emphasis on the lectures, so if you miss the connected seminar, you best make some good friends to help with assessments. Fast. All the tutors are really helpful and really supportive, they do care and it's a big thing for me at least. I have no idea what the job propects of this course are but I doubt they're bad. Teaching? In theatre work? Theatre design work? Directing? Performing? Technical work? I'd assume you can go into all these. I do it because I enjoy it and I don't really want to start working yet. Enjoy what youth you have. You get to work until you're 70.. why start now?
