Law, LLB Hons
I have no complaints with the course, all of the lectures are very nice and are happy to engage with students. I do have some complaints about my personal tutor who I have never met or engaged with.
Law, LLB Hons
Intellectually challenging and always interesting to learn new areas, particularly when the law mixes with society. Teaching standard is brilliant, the lecturers are always available if you need any help. Always warm and friendly
Law, LLB Hons
A lot of staff absences and the the co-ordination of courses was not great. Staff also fail to reply to emails or provide help when you are in negative situations with extenuating circumstances. There has definitely been instances of favouritism and when reporting misconduct nothing has been done.
Law, LLB Hons
Not a great variety of law when going into second year. Not very much help in regards to preparation for assessments.
Law, LLB Hons
Good course but not enough lecturers
Law, LLB Hons
The staff are the best part of the department, qualified, committed, approachable and helpful. They go the extra mile, and nothing is ever to much for them, they work extremely hard and are an asset to the university!
Law, LLB Hons
One of the worst run departments in the country. Do not give 'a monkeys' about student welfare, and tend to sweep any issues or problems under the carpet. If they know they're in the wrong or feel threatened they'll either silence you or fight it until the bitter end. Unfair grading, tend to mark on a basis of what they want to hear or in line with their own opinion and what they view is the correct answer... don't ever use your own opinion or do anything different or 'think outside the box' on assignments or exams. You will get marked down or fail, even if it does answer the question! Very bad communication between lecturers and other department members. Seems to have a huge problem in hiring or even keeping a competent administrator for more than a year. During my time here, however, events and activities tailored towards employability have improved, and some lecturers genuinely care about their students and their success.
Law, LLB Hons
Some really good, some not so good lecturers. Limited course choices in some cases due to being a small university.

Hard work

A budding law department in its early days. Friendly lecturers always willing to give you their time. Still some room for improvement.

How do I review value for money? The course offers a lot more in terms of developing practical skills instead of just writing essays - which some course at other uni's don't
