Really interesting and engaging course. However more than likely will need to go onto further study to get a job specialised to the degree.

Personal tutor was not good.
Applied Psychology, BSc HonsBy member524368 On 21st October 16
A good combination of all aspects of psychology is taught on the first 2 yrs and you get chance to do your own research on the 3rd year. Mainly assessed by courseworks which may not be so great if you have difficulties meeting deadlines.

Really enjoyable course, although it is a lot of money for such little teaching and lots of missed teaching due to strikes from the teaching staff too

The university is very expensive in general, the area and also any extra-curricular activities have extra costs - you basically pay for the name, but it's a good name to have! The rankings are high for psychology and compared to others universities I think that you do stand a higher chance of getting a job after graduating just because you went to Royal Holloway. You do also get the London rate loan. There are fewer contact hours than at other universities that I've heard of, but the tutors will be available for you, and so far all that I've asked have been very helpful and very willing to help. They tell you everything that you need to know despite having less contact hours. My friend studies psychology at Portsmouth and they have more hours, but far few assessments. This might sound good but it actually just means that you have no idea how you are progressing and there is a lot of pressure at the end! You choose options in 3rd year so you cover the content you enjoy. Also very pretty!
