Interesting course and love how you can specialise from year 2. Some lectures disappointing though. Seminar tutors very good however.

English and History, BA Hons

By holly31 On 4th January 17

I'm really enjoying this course, the two elements bouce off eachother very well. I do Medieval English as well as Medieval history and they work together for context and culture. I will say that the Medieval history can drag sometimes, but overall I really like this. Don't be scared to take the drama module! It's really fun, even if you hate acting. You perform with a script to little more than 10 people. It's a laugh mostly. If you can't chose between these two BA's just do it together. You won't regret it.

Good course, generally very good lectures. Could be improved a little bit as lectures can be too specific on one aspect of a text rather than providing a general overview. Very good support from staff and a generally very interesting course to study

Really naff communication at times, and during strike season the materials put on Moodle to help compensate were often very little more than pictures on slides. Not a great choice of modules for next year either - a long way to go.
