I've been studying throughout the Covid-19 lockdowns which dispite initial issue the uni have handled extremely well allowing everyone to get back on track and remain productive. The tutors are the best part of the course due to their passion and engagement. The course divides into three specialisations so there is a lot of content available to each student throughout each year. I've enjoyed my time at NUA all in all.

A really great course that allows you to explore many areas of graphic design. There are many resources to use however I believe it would be better value for money if some of the printing services were cheaper or even free. I have loved my first year and am looking forward to my second

This is an incredible school with a staff who’s really passionate about seeing each student succeed. There will be a lot pf reality checks for people who think art school is going to being an easy A+ dream, and they’ll either toughen up or move on. This school is full of talent and motivation, so everyone puts in full effort to keep up with the crowd. Tutors are wonderful, each coming in with valuable industry experience and connections to other artists who come in as guests lecturers often. They’re driven and insightful, and are teaching industry standard skills. Just take every opportunity this school throws at you and you won’t be disappointed on where it takes you.

I have learned a lot on this course, ranging from using the correct Adobe software to learning how to think like a designer - it's such a shame that COVID has affected the quality slightly but overall I think the course staff have gone above and beyond to make sure that their students get the best experience they can despite what has happened. The tutors deserve much more credit!

Even if there was a global pandemic my course adapted perfectly to it and managed to still give an amazing course over the internet with amazing support throughout.

The course is great, it can be quite intense with the workload occasionally but I’ve learnt a lot within my first two years of my 4 year course

The Games Art and Design course is an amazing course and has really helped me become better and more accepting of my work. It has also helped in the direction that i wish to continue further into getting into the correct profession. While the pandemic has caused issues for everyone the uni and the course have done their best to still provide adequate teaching. However, i personally believe that communication could've of been better during this period. However, i look forward to next year and focusing on my specialisation and being in the studio spaces more.

I would of rated this course more if we were still able to do things like zbrush. However since covid hit it got removed from the course. I feel like we are not getting what we paid for anymore and the price should of been dropped.

Year 0 was a useful and positive experience and introduction to the course, teaching me all the skills and programs that will be useful in the near and far future. It also gave me opportunities to experience new things and make new friends.

9 grand for vague ideas as to what you should be doing, with little in the way of guidance for grades, or even visual development at times, feels a little pricey. The to-do lists you're given are effective in teaching you stuff, but little was actually taught by a tutor this year.

The lecturers are always extremely helpful and they do a lot to help the students with their projects. It is important to have the support of the staff and the students, which I feel is readily available. The course content is for the most part engaging, only rarely does it feel a bit out of place.

Graphic Design, BA Hons

My experiance so far on the Graphic Design course at NUA has been exactly what I was hoping for. The university is linked with major outsourced designers who come in each week to give great advice on how to persue your career productively.
