Linguistics, BA Hons

I'm really really enjoying my course and feel enthusiastic about what I'm studying. My only complaint is that having a personal tutor doesnt feel like having one at all - they dont do anything unless they have to (e.g: talking to you about bad attendance etc)

Linguistics/Spanish, BA Hons

Amazing lectures and personal tutor. Every lesson is different but all are engaging. Particularly enjoying forensic linguistics taught by Samuel Larner. Perhaps would like some information on career advice with regards to having a linguistics/Spanish degree.

TESOL and Linguistics, BA Hons

By member737573 On 1st May 19

I only had class two days a week so I do not know how much it is expected to learn . The information for exams and due dates was not delivered right or clearly. I hope next year goes better, because sometimes I feel like I did not learn anything. I really wish we had class every day or at least more days a week. There were times I felt like I was not even studying

Linguistics, BA Hons

Meh, I’ve only done my first year and it’s not been terrible. Some lecturers are useless but most are pretty amazing. They’re very supportive. Course content is really good though - so much range from forensic linguistics to sociolinguistics to morphology to teaching. Its been really interesting. Also, everyone who picks linguistics is always really nice hehe
