Teachers have dealt with the pandemic well with teaching online and quick responses to any queries

I enjoyed my undergraduate degree so much I chose to stay on at Manchester Metropolitan University for my masters too. The level of teaching is amazing and the course content is so interesting and progressive!
English and Film, BA Hons
lovely course. just what i need
English and American Literature, BA Hons
Fantastic course for anyone who's thinking of applying. The tutors are exceptional and the course units are intriguing and complex. The job prospects after the degree are typical of what you expect doing any type of English degree and you can expect to pursue a career in teaching as I have done or move into other fields like media for example.
English and American Literature, BA Hons
The support available from the lecturers was the best part off my course as they understood the difficulties in my personal life that made university life harder for me. For me the course content was extensive and some times difficult to stay on top off. Studying 4 different courses at once and having to complete assigned reading for each (often 4 core texts plus critical and cultural writings to help understand the core texts a week), I personally struggled with this as my personal life and working life was very full at the time. The lecturers often gave me the time I needed to get caught up with the work and before the collapse in my third year grades and effort (fault off mine not the university) the first two years was were I truly flourished and that was down to the support from the lecturers and there will to push me to finish the work and get through the work each week.
English and Creative Writing, BA Hons
I am really enjoying the first year of this course, especially the units and wide variety of texts studied. For me it is the perfect combination of critical studies and creative studies. I am looking forward to specialising next year!
English and Creative Writing, BA Hons
Came away from this three year course having written a choose-your-own-adventure game, put together a satirical magazine, starred in a short horror film, completed a 9000 word dystopian fiction, alongside all the essays and short stories. Wouldn't be on the career path I am now without the support of some of the lecturers at Man Met.
English, BA Hons
Good course, doing an English foundation course that includes a history module which is fairly confusing.
English and Creative Writing, BA Hons
Would be good if potential career paths could be discussed openly in lectures that are compulsory for students to attend rather than available to book in
English, BA Hons
Such a great experience being at my chosen university.
English and Creative Writing, BA Hons
Thoroughly enjoyed the course and I always felt fully supported throughout my time at MMU. Tutors were approachable and helpful, and genuinely wanted the best for you. Particular shout out to Catherine Wilcox and Iris Feindt on the Children’s lit course in my third year. They kept me sane during a challenging year, and always looked forward to Catherine’s seminars!
I loved the media aspects of the course
English and Creative Writing, BA Hons
This is a fab course. In truth I think there could be more contact hours for the price that I'm paying since I'm only in eight hours a week. But the content and teaching is top notch
English and Creative Writing, BA Hons
My course only comprises of 8 hour weeks which does make me wonder if it's good value for money, especially with the additional cost of textbooks necessary for the course. The course is very interesting and the rotating lecturers make each lecture different and enjoyable.
English and Film, BA Hons
Can't say I've ever had to meet my personal tutor so can't really comment there. Disappointed that text books aren't included in the already expensive course as they add up over the year - would rather pay 9k instead of the 8k I do and have them included (along with printing)
