In-person teaching will resume from the start of the summer term, Monday 26th April for students on specified courses – including all practical programmes. If students are studying on a taught programme where Government restrictions on in-person teaching remain in place, the university shall continue to deliver the curriculum on-line for the time being.
Enjoyable and interesting course, gaining transferable skills that I feel can confidently put to use as a graduate. When you do the maths (price per contact hour) though it is hard to see where the £9000 goes, especially when we don't get notes or lecture slides printed for us (something other courses benefit from and represents a significant weekly outgoing that I have to budget for).
The first year is mainly Human geography which is great if you enjoy it, but not for me. Second year was a lot better as there is room to specialize. There is a vast amount of knowledge in the department and the field trips are amazing.
The course was good and generally teaching very god. Difficult to see where all money goes due to limited field and lab work. Tutoring good, thorough although sometimes boring. Job prospects often offered however I didn't pursue so hard to rate.
, with a great layout. The service is brilliant, all faults reported are attended to ASAP, and if they require an external contractor to do the work, you will be informed regarding the delay. It was overall, a wonderful student living experience
I loved my course and the opportunity to pick modules I was most interested in. The university has a great internship program which I was lucky enough to be a part of which then helped me to get into my current career.
My course offered so much variety and I would definitely recommend it. In first year you have a great selection of compulsory modules and then by the time you get to second and third year you know more about the areas that interest you most and have more choice over the modules you study. The field trips on offer are amazing and you have the option to do a placement year which is a great way of getting experience to help secure a graduate job when you finish. It is a course that sets you up for a whole host of careers and my friends have all gone on to achieve great things.
The course is a good mix of human and physical which is what I wanted. You get a fair amount of prions in second and third year as well as the option to do a placement which will increase job prospects. Overall I am really enjoying it.
