Physical Geography, BSc Hons

I'm only a first year physical geographer but I know it's something I want to continue doing. Lancaster really pushes you to work as hard as possible and that's evident through the grades achieved by its students. I love the course and my lecturers try to make it as interesting as possible, from climbing across the lecture tables to describe the jet stream to throwing sweets at the students to explain convection and conduction. I highly recommend.

Earth and Environmental Science, MSci Hons

By Yorkshireman in Lanc On 9th February 16

A very interesting course based on all current environmental problems, which are very relevant. Some aspects of the course are very technical, especially the chemistry and maths modules, but they are nonetheless interesting. Whilst A level maths and chemistry are recommended, if you don't have these, like myself, modules are available to help you catch up with the rest of the course.
