Forensic Science, BSc Hons
By member1238135 On 18th May 19Some aspects of this course i have thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the law, ballistic and fires modules. However some of the chemistry aspects have been at times... painful. It is clear that the chemistry lecturers who teach these to both the chemists and forensics students at the same time in the same room do not care or cater for the forensics students... and honestly most of the forensics students are often left wondering why any of that particular content is relevant or being taught. The feedback on a lot of work has been dismal, the marking and return of marks; as I write this i am 1 exam from finishing my degree yet still am missing coursework marks that were submitted months ago... a joke. Half the lecturers have a genuine interest and investment in seeing you do as best as possible... the other half.....

By member1119464 On 23rd November 15It would have been better for me to study a broader degree such as Chemistry, as Forensic Science will only allow me to go into analytical science and not developmental.

By Zairembenga On 17th July 18There are pros and cons for every lecturer, some seem very interested in their field enjoy teaching you said field, others not so much. Every student is provided with a personal tutor who you are supposed to meet once a term, I am yet to have met mine in my first year but I also haven't wanted to meet mine they are always available to meet if need be and are very receptive to emails and easily contacted, the same can be said with all lecturers.
