Film And Television (Production), BA Hons

From the start I have been learning from my tutor and teachers, who come from different educational or academic backgrounds. This has contributed to my own learning experiences - when contacting clients I am using the skills I have learned from my teachers and my education.

Film And Television (Production), BA Hons

Brilliant course, both hands on and written work are incredibly important and fun. Learning on film history is the most fascinating and important part for me. The tutors know what they're talking about and are excellent at their jobs.

Film And Television (Production), BA Hons

By geegee123 On 2nd February 19

They don’t give us enough support when making our films, they expect us all to be rich (eg telling us having a Macbook and other expensive things are MANDATORY when I’ve never even needed to use half of the things they made us get in first year for the entire 3 years. 80% of the lectures are telling us stuff we already know from secondary school. The biggest thing for me, was they have no appreciation for commuters, as they would cancel a lecture 10 minutes before it starts, or more often not tell us at all. This was fustrating to commuters as we would have wasted money getting to Uni that day. All in all, communication between lecturers and students is poor.

This course well prepared me for my current job as a video games artist. The course leaders are fantastic, and lecturers are dedicated and knowledgeable, especially Frank Victoria. Students from this course are generally very successful.

We are highly encouraged to use professional actors and shoot on location away from campus (which most other unis of the same course don't do) we are offered a trip to Cannes Film Festival with the uni as well. Variety of equipment available to hire and lots of software available

The tutors are very well experienced and happy to help although in the first year it feels like I'm not learning much.
