International Studies and Chinese, BA Hons

Loved it. The chinese side was absolutely brilliant, the staff are lovely. The IR side is a bit easier to get lost in, since it's soooo much bigger, but if you ask for help 9/10 times you'll get it. Work hard for chinese though! 加油!

Politics, BA Hons

I'm in the MA Art & Politics. Good course, just some lecturers I'm not a great fan of. Not really interacting with students and trying to push their ideas onto us. Especially one of them. He appears to be open to criticism but if you start a discussion with him he'll try to win immediately

International Studies and Chinese, BA Hons

By Charlieboi On 11th January 20

This is an extremely challenging course to undertake but I would say go for it if you want a challenge! You end up with about 12 hours overall, due to Chinese being a very time- intensive course to study. The chinese teachers are by far the best part of the course! They are so sweet and hardworking and they always take the time to help you out! The lessons are challenging but fun! The international relations lecturers are a mixed bag but in general provide very interesting and mind- blowing lectures and seminars. The workload for chinese is very intense, and IR isn't as intense as long as you keep up with the readings

I love the course content and the lecturers are engaging and very interesting. I haven't had much contact with my personal tutor, but it is early days. I don't really know about job prospects.

History and Politics, BA Hons

By dewilson On 20th October 15

I love my course, the lecturers are dedicated and very hardworking. The only problem I have, is that I'm paying 9K per year, for 8 hours of Lectures and Seminars a week, and the odd hour here and there for study skills. The reading is all online, and you better be prepared to read the equivalent of a small book a week. Each lecture has around 30-40 pages of reading.
