My lecturers were frequently prompt with their emails and they were open to talking about both academic and personal issues. I cannot recommend the course enough to prospective students

Religion Philosophy and Ethics, BA Hons

Absolutely love my degree. It allows me to think outside of the box and listen to other people’s opinions. I love having the debates within ethics. As well as the practical side and getting involved with the religious side.

I love RPE, for me it’s exactly what I was looking for after enjoying RS so much in school and at A-level. The modules are so intriguing and different to what other universities offer.

The lecturers are very passionate about the subject and inspire you to love it as well! They organise amazing opportunities to see Religion first hand, my favourite was our trip to India where we visited many Temples and the Ganges.

Religion Philosophy and Ethics, BA Hons

We are in for 6 hours a week, use very few rooms and no resources other than library books, yet pay the same as people studying the sciences or sport and use space, equipment, and many other costly things. However, this is the case across the country, so UoG can't be criticised too harshly on this. I do enjoy the taught content. Tutors show a genuine interest in the topics, which is vital in teaching. There is a wide spectrum of teaching styles, but the individuality of them makes each module stand out, as well as highlighting how the course is a product of the tutors, rather than a dry, over-used and uninspiring curriculum-meeting farce.

The teaching is lectures was second to none, however, two of my modules when I was at Uni of Glos were essentially made on the back of a fag packet due to a breakdown in communication at the university.

My first year experience of the course was very enjoyable. All of my lecturers we're very welcoming, entertaining and made turning up to the lectures fun and worth the money. Lecturers used different methods of teaching e.g. handouts, powerpoints, videos, music etc. And we're all very passionate about the content they were teaching. My personal tutor was quite helpful, from helping with module assignments, personal issues etc he made situations fun and uplifting and was very helpful. I would recommend this course to anyone thinking of studying philosophy and religion.
