Computer Games Design (Story Development), BA Hons

By On 5th August 19

The course is just horrible. The teachers have no idea how to teach, what to do. Have barely any experience in the industry. You do not learn anything out of it unless you teach yourself from start to end. No support, teachers constantly leave or are fired. The ones remaining are unprofessional and will harass students.

In 4 years of being there I still have no idea how to write my own code. Everything I've learnt has pretty much come from youtube. So I've paid 30K altogether to learn things from youtube lol. Dont study at University of east London!!!

Fast adapting course, with great opportubities and potential, but often the lecturer doesn’t give a s*** about the slower students, which is unreasonable when dealing with all new softwares or coding as a new thing in general

The story dev module was the most fun and enjoyable throughout the year. I learnt a lot and was given a heap load of advice on improving my game projects. If the uni didn't decide to fire one of our leaders out of the blue and not even trying to find someone else asap, I would've enjoyed this year, but that strained and made us stress way too much about our future at this uni.

We had classes where we wasted the time playing with a paper plane or watching toilet doors or videos on youtube...come on. Not much to learn from classes, because nowadays every brainless person can get into university and the staff have to keep it slow or the retards will say they can't cope with the demands. You will have around you some of the best people to learn from if you need (talking about some of the staff that is running the course) but also some time wasters that will make you want to skip classes and do something useful alone. Too much team work, they will put you in the team with the less capable if you are good, almost nothing is marked individual, is must be "team" to help the others pass.
