Mental Health Nursing, BSc Hons
By member667913 On 7th April 22Really good. Been supportive when required. Placements have been sent weeks before starting so students can arrange travel and accommodation in advance.
Children'S Nursing, BSc Hons
By member559966 On 11th June 21Great course, placement allocations are good. Adapted well to COVID times, however lack of communication to students
Adult Nursing, BSc Hons
By member635512 On 20th January 19Grading based on the RTP in nursing. In short it was a shambles with complete disregard to one's autonomy in that without warning or explanation we found ourselves being interviewed by a member of a third party organisation who had made financial contribution to the course in exchange for meeting with the student. It was as if one had been sold or at best traded for financial reward only we received no benefit from it. Communication was poor and worse at critical milestones of the course.

By member1226873 On 25th June 17We do over 4,000 hours work placement in 3 years, other courses like at Uclan do only 3,000 hours. The teaching at the university is intense but very good! The tutors are supportive and friendly. The university has a great rep as it was st Martins college which Founded in 1964, over 40 years worth of students gained their degree at St. Martin's in subjects from teaching to NHS-related training. With so many students, we have plenty of memories to share about the college. It doesn't have the best rep yet as it is only 10 years old as a university and the student life is not as good as it is in Cumbria and Lancaster - What do you expect? I know going to this university will help me reach my full potential, as I have been to two universities now and this is the best one for education. I'm 24 now, so I'm not fussed on the student life. I am more interested in the education and career prospects. I hope this helps!
Children'S Nursing, BSc Hons
By member1121100 On 21st March 16It's good but because there's not many child students it's all very adult focused. However after complaining they are trying to improve that.

By member415201 On 4th September 15Course is brilliant, very intense but has to be expected from the nature of the course. All the staff have been in healthcare careers prior so they understand the struggle and want to make the nurses better. Tuition fees are covered by the NHS which is a huge help and you're also entitled to an NHS bursary which helps a lot too. Job prospects are major, nurses are needed everywhere and are constantly advertised for
