Introductory Certificate in Counselling, Cert PartTime
For anyone considering a career in counselling/therapy and/or mental health, this course is a great way to begin that journey and see if this career path is right for you. It's challenging enough that you won't be bored, but easy enough that you won't feel overwhelmed in the short 13-weeks you'll be participating in the certificate. Before starting this course, I had done a lot of reading and research about this career path, and I've been undergoing therapy myself for several years. And yet, I still found I was learning a lot. I was introduced to a lot of theories I had never heard of before, and the practical skills sessions taught me something invaluable - no amount of reading will ever compare to actually sitting with a client (even in an unconventional, somewhat simulated environment). Receiving feedback from my peers and the teaching assistants has been especially helpful. I would absolutely recommend this course with Newman! read more
