A great option for FIU students
With the short distance to campus, FIU Operations’ free transportation services, by-the-bed leasing, and roommate matching, 4th Street Commons is tailored to FIU student life. It’s a particularly great choice for international and exchange students, transfer students, and upperclassmen who want to live off campus but within walking distance of FIU. And "by-the-bed" leasing means you sign and pay only for your own room within a shared apartment. You're not responsible if your roommate doesn’t pay their portion of the rent.
How we compare to other on-campus and off-campus housing
As off-campus, by-the-bed housing, 4th Street Commons gives students their own private bedroom and bathroom within a shared apartment—a different setup from FIU's on-campus dorms. See Miami housing rankings to compare 4th Street Commons to other on- and off-campus housing options for FIU students.
