for the first two yrs, you have practically no connection to the actual uni,. the college is in falkirk, where you study a HNC and then a HND for 2 years. it is is terrible. bad, often patronising teachers, some classes you have to take are not at all relevant. you don't get to take modules or attend any lectures in first year, regardless of what they say. on the plus side, the flatmates you will live with will all be integrated students too and so you have that in common FVC in falkirk is a treck to get to, (if you stay in union street halls) you have to walk for 15 mins from union street to train station, pay £7.80!!! for a return ticket, for a 20 min journey, and then walk 20 mins to the college. lectures start at 9 so you have to get up at like half 7, three days a week ( not the normal uni lifestyle!). travelling this is horrible in the winter and makes you hate life. the uni and college should have put on a shuttle bus and a much cheaper rate.!

Teaching is great but content can be quite boring. Never been in contact with personal tutor other than a generic email in the first week. read more
