Liberal Arts and Sciences, BA/BSc Hons FullTime

Best degree at Birmingham hands down. Everyone always says ‘I wish I knew it was an option’! There are so many module options to choose from meaning you could theoretically take physics and history if you wanted to! People tend to do a spread across first year and then become more focussed in later years. Some courses do have prerequisite modules or a levels which effects sciences and maths, but as a humanities student, I have had the chance to try politics as a new subject and it has become one of my favourites. They also run an extracurricular trip scheme which is called the cultural programme. They have some good events on for free so keep an eye out. My favourite part of LANS is the hub, which is a space for LANS students only to study, work on group projects and generally just hang out. The tea and biscuits on a Monday also helps. read more
