Transport was available but the providers seemed under no obligation to stick to a time table and congestion at rush hour made travel at those times impossible. A few ok takeaways and a local ish supermarket were nice but in most cases you were better off going further afield.
buses to Leeds city centre, shops near by and a morrisons just up the road. Great for people who don't want a university right in the city. Excellent train services 20 min walk from university, There is also a tesco, barbers and a pub. buses and transport into Hyde park which has great pubs, clubs and shops too.
Small town outside of Leeds city centre. Tesco express by train station and Morrison’s in the town centre. LTU bus goes all around Horsforth from uni and back weekdays 9:28-16:24. After that time, the free shuttle bus goes from the train station and the last one goes from the uni to the station at 18:47
There are plenty of clubs and bars in Horsforth and most of them are quite cheap. Also, there is a free shuttle bus from the university to take you to the train station and Morrison’s. There is also a public bus and then the train that can take you to Leeds and back in around half an hour, sometimes less
Horsforth is 15 mins away from the city centre by train which has epic nights out. Horsforth has a McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, dominos, pizza express, Toby carvery, miller and carter and way more. But the best part is the bars - they’re a bit pricey f But there’s a cockatiel bar and all sorts. Rent is high tho
Horsforth is more of a middle class area which makes it more expensive for students. With Leeds centre being a bit further than other Leeds universities it can be more pricey for nights out, as there is no nightlife in horsforth.
