Bit of a dump to be honest... The high street is mostly banks and charity shops. Streets are dirty, locals are really rude, the river stinks, the beach is covered in litter (even after several voluntary beach cleans by those of us who actually care) and the schools have riots on the front lawns. On the plus side, you have plenty of buses, the ferries and three major roads to get you out of that dump of a place.
