Couldn’t ask for a better Med course. dissection throughout year 1 in small groups with a foundation doctor leading you through anatomy really comes to life. You’re given a background of the science that we base so much of clinical work on in the FMS module so you actually know why the body functions as it does. Throughout the year we go through clinical skills and patient scenarios to prep for year 2 when we go to placement, so there’s no fear. All of the med societies host study sessions on their specialty to help with exam prep and your stage 2 parents are always there! We have philosophy and ethics modules that really help you develop your own thought process and make you question why you think the way you do and its implications. There’s also the boat ball which is a must attend event! The course is fast paced but everyone is catching up in new hunts library. The workshops and tutorials are lead by specialists in the field and give you a deep understanding of the subject read more

Everything is good except personal tutor. I didn’t know my personal tutor had quit and my newly assigned personal tutor has yet to reach out to me or organise meetings. Overall I feel like personal tutors are not very useful. They just enquire about your well-being during the meetings. read more
