Been staying at DrinkWaterHouse for a about 8months now. Very safe place. Very good management team. Always clean and honestly would definately recommend to any students looking around the middlesbrough area. Definately the best value for money.

I have stayed in drinkwater for 2 years! Management are amazing and always supportive! They actually remember the small details which I think is key to a great living space, remembering your degree and job etc makes for really nice small talk. I lived in the older building in a double room, really good spacing for the price I pay. Due to Covid, a lot of the facilities have been closed off which is sad but when they're open they're great! Overall loved my 2 years here and would highly recommend. It's a nice 5 minute walk to the University with a good variety of shops and restaurants within 5-10 minute walks.

Do not stay at drinkwater house private student accommodation! The management staff are awful, it’s a total rip off. Not associated with the university as far as I’m aware which is good! But drinkwater house is depressing dark and waste of money

Not brilliant. Management were awful while I was there, but have heard they recently changed so hopefully much better now. Broken shower for two months (still had to pay full rent for my en-suite), broken washing machine the WHOLE TIME I was there. Staff entered room without permission on two occasions. Very loud door slams (but I suppose that’s the tenants fault more so than the place itself). Overnight guests not permitted (or if you asked someone could stay for 3 days)- horrible for me in first year as my family couldn’t come stay as they live a 7 hour drive away.

So before you read this incredibly long review, just to set the tone I did not enjoy my stay at Drinkwater House, for many reasons, however, I will try my best to remain impartial. I feel I can write a pretty comprehensive review of the place having lived there for two years. just for context, I lived in the smallest room (£70ish per week) in the oldest building on site. Firstly, Don’t be fooled into thinking Drinkwater house is in high demand, when viewing the property I was lied to. Being told 'I had to sign up by the end of the week because of multiple people interested in the rooms I viewed'. it turns out half the rooms I viewed where empty for the full two years I lived there and are probably still empty now. Also take little to no notice of the price, as depending on who you are and if the owner likes you is what you pay, I know of people living in the new block with the same room that are paying two separate prices for no apparent reason what so ever. I was told if I signed a f

As a parent, it was very important where my son lived whilst studying away in Middlesbrough. I wanted somewhere I knew it would be safe, clean and close to the university. Drinkwater House has everything that I and more importantly what my son wanted for his accommodation. Drinkwater House is very clean, the management team are always there to help, the place is very secure, rooms are not cramped, and has free facilities such as the gym etc. The price for the room we booked was way better than the other accommodation places we visited. In all a top 5-star student accommodation.

I liked the security of the property but it's definitely not a 3 minute walk from university as told by administration. It's more like a 10 minute walk. Generally the ambience is nice but it's quite useless living in a nice space with common spaces that you are not really free to have too many guests. If you are a first year student are interested in the social aspect that comes with university and making friends this is definitely not the place to live. I'd recommend for mature students who prefer to be in a quiet environment. Management will be very friendly and helpful your first few weeks but after that I had some issues and I was not even kept informed on the progress. I had to continuously call them to know the progress. Additionally, for a luxury student accommodation you would think you should have more freedom or be more comfortable but your ever move will be analysed. Walls are thin so expect to get complaints about your music. Much better value for your money elsewhere

I have viewed a couple of private student accommodations around Middlesbrough. Out of all of them, Drinkwater House stood out as "unique". I have lived there for 2 years, having finished my degree now. The staff as well as the students are friendly and hard-working. The staff will go all out and above to make sure that your room is not falling to pieces. In addition, over the year they host special events during the evening where there is FREE PIZZAS!!!

I viewed quite a few accommodation options in Middlesbrough, but Drinkwater House stood out for me. It's slightly more expensive than other halls / houses but worth it for the warm clean environment, Virgin Media, en-suite bathrooms, security and contents insurance, and lovely atmosphere. The management team go the extra mile too - they're always there if you have a problem and they put on pizza nights etc as an opportunity to get to know your flatmates. As an older student I've had experience in a few different flats and halls - and this one is 100% recommended. :)

I viewed a couple of student accommodation places before Drinkwater House, and I was really glad I chose Drinkwater House, as the management team were really welcoming and the place was really clean, bright and vibrant. I would recommend any students to choose Drinkwater House for their accommodation
