Its a great set of halls for people who don't get as much student finance as others, with it being around £4000 a year its one of the cheapest accommodations plus £1000 goes on a food card as the accommodation is semi-catered. There are whole cooked meals every weekday but on weekends its a case of fending for yourself or going down to the onsite costa or buying some food in for the weekend if you've not gone home. The halls are right on campus so if you decided to work in the library till the early hours you're not going to be walking through dark streets sleep deprived with a laptop or a couple of uni books. The on site factor also comes in handy when you wake up 10 minutes before your lecture, you can practically get to any room on campus in 5 minutes (you may need to run if its in the quad or top floor of de grey!)
The hall is really good for its location and the food included however the wifi is terrible as it is used across 100+ people and the library. Also the windows do not block various sounds such as drunk people, dawn chorus and the Minster.
