Read Brecon Court Reviews
You can never get a moments quiet here. The hockey pitch is right next to the court and especially close to my room so there is constant cheering and chanting from the supporters and the noise the players make. It's made me hate a sport i once enjoyed. People are always playing music so unnecessarily loud it seems implausible you can call these rooms "study rooms" as its really hard to get any work done. It is also really expensive and i feel like i'm not getting the experience i'm paying for especially considering the rooms only have single beds. The only positive is that the maintenance team are very responsive.
It's quite expensive for what we get and for how long. Hall management is terrible I had a few complaints about the cleanliness of my flatmates. They said they'd act upon the photos I had sent. No action was taken. Unlike other halls on student village brecon does not get cleaning staff. Most social spaces are kinda small and not always open. The wifi we get with studentcom is terrible just like circuit laundry. The amount of times I had to walk to the other end of the village to dry my clothes is unmentionable. Sometimes to find out they don't work either
Very expensive for all you get. Would be cheaper elsewhere, many students struggle within these halls to keep on top of money because of how expensive it is. The flats include 6 en-suite rooms with a small shared kitchen and social area. If you think sitting in the kitchen area doing work and socialising with your flatmates is something you'd like to do, this isn't the place. One kitchen top and then a few uncomfortable seats makes it a difficult space to do both. Apart from this the building is nice, nice area only 10 min walk from the local asda or sainsbury's. 20 min walk away from local train station and buses come onto campus making getting around very easy.
