Phoenix Court is in the heart of Sheffield, situated just off West Street, which cuts through Sheffield City Centre. (5 mins from University, 1 minute to the tram station, 2 mins from a Tesco or Sainsburys). The staff are excellent; quick to solve problems and always friendly. The WIFI is speedy, the rooms reasonably spacious and the amenities are more than adequate; plenty of storage space and plug sockets. The laundry room is simple and easy to use, with washers, tumble dryers and an iron should you need it. I would highly recommend staying here.

Good location, near Tesco Metro and University. The kitchen space is a bit small, a lot of construction going on which is loud in the morning. The worst part is the WiFi, in the website they said 100mbs but in reality is only 10mbs Maximum, which is very slow and is not what they promised
The location of the accommodation is amazing and the manager is very helpful! But there are some troubles with the rooms - the internet is quite poor on the 3rd floor; the storage space in the refurbished rooms is insufficient - I would use more cupboards and shelves; there are problems with the hot water in the shower (no hot water through the small shower head); there are no toilet paper stands in the bathroom. There are also occasional problems with the laundry facilities - washing machines not draining properly and driers leaving clothes wet.

amazing!! I love Kate forever!!

Thank you so much for your feedback! As much as I would love to take full credit, the whole Phoenix Court team work extra hard to ensure that all residents feel safe, heard and like they are living at a 'home away from home' rather than just in a room. I will pass your feedback onto my team as I know that they will be happy to hear that you are impressed with the high level of customer service which Phoenix Court Provides. Thank you, Kate and the Phoenix Court Team :)
I have really loved my time at Phoenix Court! It's in a perfect location, super quiet and calm and really close to the university buildings. Kate is a great manager - always on top of every concern and giving us regular updates of what's going on in the building. I'm in a standard cluster room, and the bedroom itself is pretty large, except the kitchen and the bathroom are very small. The ventilation is also pretty bad so whenever you use the kitchen it will smell like food for a few days. I would recommend buying another mini fridge and a few extra storage containers for the countertops as there is barely enough room in the kitchen for two people. For the price you're paying, however, it's a super good deal even with the size. There were a few internet problems where we were without wifi for a few hours, and once over the course of the weekend. The laundry was also a little pricey. But altogether, Phoenix Court is a great place if you want to save money. It's very comfortable.
The management team is very helpful. They are friendly and supportive. There is a tesco nearby and the accommodation is located at the heart of Sheffield. The current WiFi is still upgrading and it's a bit slow.
The location is very convenient for uni and shops, site staff is always lovely and helpful! Social experience would probably be better if there's no COVID, but that's the same everywhere.

Hello member1152742! We're so happy that you're able to benefit from our great location! Phoenix Court is only a few minutes walk from both uni campuses, supermarkets, shops, resturants, bars and public transport so it's really handy! The entire Phoenix Court team great pride in going the extra mile to help our residents and to make their stay at Phoenix Court full of fond memories so I will definitely pass this positive feedbacl back to the whole team. You're completely right, we had so many different ideas for events on (and off-) site but unfortunately due to COVID we havn't been able to put many on at all. If you have ANY suggestions for socially distanced/online events that we could organise then please let Kate know . Thank you so much for your review, Kate and Thoe Phoenix Court Team :)
Cheapest accommodation in Sheffield which is good. Manager is nice and helps you out with any problems you may have. The bedrooms are also decent sized.
Hope there are bigger fridges provided in each apartment Everything else seems good tbh Would be nice if like events could be held (BBQ nights or something like that ) to get to know other people!

Hello member552737 and thank you so much for your feedback! Our kitchen sizes varies between our 1, 2 and 3 bedroom flats as does the ammount of fridge/freezer space available. If you're still wanting a larger fridge then please speak to Kate and she will do her best to help resolve this. Either pop into the office or ring/email her as normal. We're so glad to hear that you're happy with your accommodation and on the event front - we feel exaclty the same way! We're really keen to organise events and we have lots of ideas for different events (a BBQ and petting zoo - think alpaca, goats rabbits and etc - is actually one of their ideas!) but due to the impact of covid and associated government imposed restrictions we can't organise any events like that. We're hoping that this will change soon but in the meantime, if you have any ideas for socially distanced or online events that we could put on then please let Kate know. Again, thank you for your review, Kate and The Phoenix Court Team :)
I think there should be a table in the kitchen, and the wifi here is intermittent, the other things are perfect.
The wifi usually blocks. Superior rooms have fewer drawers and shelves than standard rooms, which makes a little uncomfortable.
The wifi signal in my room is very weak and i' ve called the Wi-Fi company but no reaction. This situation is last for 2 months

Hello member452716 and thank you for your feedback, Upgrading Phoenix Court's wifi was an extremely important project for us and unfortunately this was delayed due to the impact of covid-19. Though this delay was out of our control we want to apologise for the inconvience this caused as whether you are studying or chilling we understand how important high internet speeds are to our student residents and especially during a pandemic lockdown. We hope that you were one of the residents who spoke to Kate (Phoenix Court student accommodation manager) as she was able to put things in place to help those most affected. Since your review, Phoenix Court has upgraded to fibre optic broadband and this has resulted in a massive boost in our wifi speed of up to 100Mbps which has been noticed and praised by residents. If you are still struggling with your wifi signal/speed then please come and let Kate know so she can investigate and rectify this. As always, she is available 0900-1700 Mon-Fri in the office or you can call/email her on the details you've been given. Thank you again for your feedback, we really value it Kate and the Phoenix Court Team :)

Thank you again for your feedback, Kate and the Phoenix Court Team :)
Phoenix Court is brilliant for Sheffield students, as the location is conveniently in between both universities! For the price we pay, the rooms are very worth it, and as there are only 1 person, 2 person, and 3 person flats, the kitchen is usually decent in size. We have a wonderful accommodation manager who is always working to make improvements and listen to our concerns. There is a good maintenance team to help with issues. Whilst there is not a common room, it is possible to easily meet neighbours and see others in the courtyard. The wifi has sometimes had a few issues but has been good enough for me to do my uni work. All in all, I think Phoenix Court is brilliant for the student life.

Thank you so much for your feedback Victoriaebj, We do think that Phoenix Court is in a prime location for students as it is only a few minutes away from both universities, resturants, shops, bars and tram stops so we're glad that you're able to take advantage of this. All of our staff Team at Phoenix Court, whether it's the accommodation manager, our residential coordinators or our maintenance contractors, pride themselves of delivering an excellent customer service to all residents so we're delighted to receive your feedback on this. Since your review, we have upgraded to fibre optic broadband which has greatly boosted Phoenix Court's wifi speed. Thank you again for your reivew, Kate and the Phoenix Court Team :)
The accommodation manager is amazing, always welcoming and have a big kind heart. The accommodation is still under a bit of refurbishments, and hopefully, the wifi and the cleaning will be sorted in the next month. Many flats are fully refurbished and absolutely brand new. Therefore their value for money is perfect. The location of the accommodation is right in the city centre making it very convenient for all and any travel. Different flats have different floor plans. However, generally they are all adequate. The flat I am in has a great floor plan with amazing big kitchen and big rooms with windows and a nice view. Overall, the little issues left to do any refurbishment should be sorted soon, once that’s done, this accommodation will become my recommendation to all and any students looking for a place to live in.
