Cornerhouse Biography
Located close to both campuses and local amenities, Cornerhouse offers residents the ideal student accommodation. Sheffield University is a mere five-minute away while Sheffield Hallam City Campus is a twenty-minute walk away. There is also a bus stop within walking distance, making commuting as easy as can be.
Inside the building, you can find cosy social spaces, including a common room and study space. There is also a sunny outdoor courtyard and garden as well as social events for you to enjoy. Residents benefit from having access to all amenities at neighbouring Hollis Croft, which consists of a gym, hosting kitchen, karaoke room and cinema room. Its an amazing location with a great security and reception services. Elena and Olivia are very helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean and tidy. Social space and courtyard are clean and big to enjoy. Worth the dime to stay and have an international experience.

It is a clean and tidy accommodation environment. The front desk service is good. It provides services to every resident and regularly checks the safety of the room. The apartment also holds various activities regularly.

I think it is really fun that they do little activities like plant potting and canvas painting, but when they but the monthly activity notice up, they often change the contence of the notice a lot which can get confusing and I end up missing or not being able to attend the activities as the timings or days change a lot.

The experience here at Cornerhouse has been going really well so far, the only thing I would say for me personally were if there was a kettle and toaster in the kitchen as I do feel they are quite important kitchen appliances to have.

So far, I’m loving my stay at Cornerhouse. The property is really excellent, well located, and the staff is very nice. For example, Greg was able to make himself available whenever necessary, and demonstrated true professionalism.

Its good and i would recommend staying here for another year. Its very convenient and the staff are super helpful and welcoming. Its generally good environment to it.
Good place and it’s close to uni and has a Tesco express for emergency situations which is always good. Love the reception staff, and we do have good social stuff like the bubble tea events and Halloween stuff. We loved our time so far so we have rebooked for next yr too!!!!

Quiet accommodation, very to close to the uni. However, most of social events happen during weekdays when students are kinda busy. More events during weekends would be better. Also, the chairs are not quite comfortable sit for study in studios. Btw, it takes a long time to get the elevator repaired.
The staffs are very helpful and sought things out very quick, especially Miss Vicky. She is the best!

Living in Cornerhouse as an international student was great! Great location, solid social events for those who like to socialize, and very friendly staff. Everyone was so nice and helpful but Vickie was a shining star! Always a smiling face checking in and making sure everything was going smoothly. Seriously going to miss our chats! The room I chose was studio62, for me the space was just right, and every staff at reception was very nice, the process from room report to maintenance was very smooth and efficient, and it was a very pleasant experience for me.

I’ve had a great six month stay here at cornerhouse. From the beginning, the staff have been so friendly. Most notably, Vickie helped me settle in at the beginning and also helped me move out as well. She has been very friendly and accommodating f during my stay here. I’d recommend cornerhouse and would definitely have a stay here again.

Long story short: the last place to live. More than 3 months of fireproof reinforcement with all those chainsaw sound, drilling sound and hammer sound every workday from 9 to 4. Surely they must have cut corners when building this accommodation, otherwise they wouldn't need to reinforce fireproof after all these years. The construction team did not stop there. After they cut down the celling of common areas like hallway, they entered my room and worked for about 2 to 3 days, cut celling down and made everything dusty. Not only that, I was forced to pack my things to make ways for them. Also, I have no choice and forced to leave my room and stay somewhere else for these days. Who knows what else will be worked over. The WIFI is absolute trash, disconnect every few minutes. Recent days the hot water is down. One of the elevator was down for 2 months. As said at the beginning: the last place to live.
The staff at the reception are really lovely and helpful. Location is amazing, only 5 minutes from most university buildings!
Best team to support you 24 hours every day
Staff have been extremely kind, helpful and cooperative whenever I needed something. I am very satisfied with my room and everything works great. Maybe they could clean the common areas more often.
I have had an amazing amount of issues with this accommodation. Firstly when i moved (end of July) the accommodation was not cleaned from the last academic year. I understand that i moved sooner than the September date that everyone comes but they knew that I will be moving and still did nothing to clean. The fridge was filled with mould and the oven was in a horrific state. My room at first glance was okay but then i found some issues and listed them on a form as they requested. Now is four months later and nothing has been fixed. A friend recommended this place but there is no way that I can recommend it to anyone. The wifi is really unreliable and i have heard this issue from other tenants. Sometimes it keeps disconnecting and at certain times of the day it is really slow and even at is best never 100mbs as they advertise. The washing machines (Circuit) are the worst that anyone can use. Washing is okay, driers need to be used twice most of the time. Also really expensive.

The management and security team were simply amazing. Despite the fact that I had some issues in my flat (roof leaks), they were always available to solve them as soon as it was possible. I recommend Cornerhouse based not only on its location but especially on its people!
