Half of the complex is refurbished and value for money, the other half is old, broken and outdated but everyone still pays £95 a week. It's home now but I was disappointed when I moved in, had to have quite a few things fixed/replaced straight away; if it wasn't for the fact that my housemates are now my best friends, I would have hated living here. Everyone's really nice though and the location is pretty much the best you're going to get for Sheffield. The staff are nice, Rob the receptionist is lovely and Dave the security man has been a highlight on many nights out. The flat's are supposed to be cleaned by a cleaner every two weeks but for the first 7 months we had the laziest male cleaner in the world, NEVER cleaned anything but the nice lady who has *hopefully* replaced him and received a pay rise works incredibly hard, your kitchen will be squeaky clean if she's on the case. Overall, probably wouldn't change it for the world but I'm very much looking forward to moving out!

Loved living here, great experience in a great location. The room was clean and spacious, had no issues throughout the year. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, 10/10 recommend!

Would of been nice to have a TV in the living space and the wifi was pretty poor (this was in 2015/2016), may have changed but good value for money and good location

My son is coming to the end of his stay at Devonshire Courtyard and is gutted he's not able to book again for his 2nd year at Hallam Uni. He's loved every minute of his stay and the experiences living there has made his first year of studies so much easier. The staff members on site have been so helpful and understanding when he's had any issues, which have been very few. There's a strong community spirit amongst the students living there and the atmosphere is so relaxed and informal it really helped him settle in and feel at home. The weekends i've visited him i've always been impressed by the standards of cleanliness around the property, and the feeling of safety and security. I've spoken with a couple of the security guys who really seem to genuinely care about the safety and wellbeing of the students. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this property to other students & parents, its a great place to live

The location of Devonshire courtyard is really the only positive that it has to offer. It is close to both campuses, and to supermarkets and shops, but that is about it. Many appliances are broken and were when I moved in. Security is shocking and it is very easy for anyone to get in. It is overpriced, especially considering the tiny amount of space that you get compared to other accommodations. The price of washing is ridiculous, and the social areas are poor. I would not recommend this accommodation at all unless you want to waste your entire student loan on a disgusting flat.

This is by far the worst student accommodation in Sheffield, you will be paying one of he highest rates of rent for the poorest services and appliances. The staff that work there are great but the problem lies higher up. A lackluster attempt at accomodaton. The appliances are the cheapest you can get with them still being somehow legal, the walls are paper thin and the floor space you get is embarassing. If you are unfortunate enough to have this accomodation suggested to you avoid at all costs, you'll save so much money travelling from home or choosing another accomodation such as bramall court. The laundry services are poor, the security is poor and worst of all you'll probably have a half broken kitchen which you'll have to wait months for to get it sorted. The single saving grace about this tower block of hell is the location. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolutely the best decision for me. I can't stress how amazing living at Dev C has been like I have met my absolute best friends here and none of them are even from my flat! Devonshire Courtyard is such an amazing place for socialising like all you need to do is head down to the courtyard and there is literally always someone to talk to. Some reviews say about the noise from corporation. (the night club at the back) but honestly you can't here anything. My room faces out into the courtyard and there is rarely any bad noise, even if there has been a noise complaint is dealt with by security in a matter of minutes. The staff are absolutely amazing and you will always feel 100% safe here. It is a 5 mins walk to uni and again one of the best accomodation. I've never k own anyone move out of here and go to a different accommodation. Ask anyone it's one of the best decisions you'll ever make!

Size of the room is nice, really big desk and fitted wardrobe, decent sized bathroom. Living on top of corp has absolutely no benefits, walls everywhere are so thin you can hear everything, including what the flat upstairs are saying word for word in a normal conversation, reception are friendly and deal with all your issues straight away, only one person has the postbox key so not fab if you don't get along with your flat, wifi was shocking to start with until we had a box put in, if you're a student nurse or on a healthcare course that works early morning shifts i wouldnt recommend at all, corp can keep you awake until 3/4am which isnt ideal before a 7am start for 12 hours, accomodation is in dire need of a refurb and modernising, weekly price could easily be cheaper for what you get, single bed and no full body lenght mirror

Daughter victimised by anti Semitic graffiti however although against the law the management did absolutely nothing! It states 24 hour security but when you ring in case of an emergency you can wait hours. Although meant to be secure doors with card access you can bypass this easily and get in by jiggling the door! Filthy place. Wouldn't keep a dog in them. Rooms outdated and small with mould in bathrooms. Kitchen tiny, faulty appliances and very poor decor. We had to give a good clean before unpacking but even then you can't shift tears of mould and grime. If you stay make sure you take photos at check in as tried charging us for existing damage. Laundry never worked and no common areas. Smelly damp and dirty!

This is the worst accommodation ever, go to Fenton House next door. If someone who was manky lived in your room last year, then your tiny shower will be full of mould that won't come off, and an overall disgusting bathroom. (Cleaners don't clean it at end of year) Rooms are pretty small and cleaners don't 'clean' much. Kitchen is old and outdated, so are the bedrooms, and if you're paying upwards of £101 a week (it's going up next year) you at least expect something decent, but Unite students just take your money and give you a bog hole to live in. When I moved in the kitchen hadn't been given a good clean like I would expect with new tenants coming at the beginning of the year, again, mould in cupboards, sticky booze stains over the walls, stained curtain hanging by a thread and the most disgusting fridge I've ever seen, 2cm of yellow slime at the bottom. The wifi is also awful. On an upside, the courtyard is a good way to make friends at Freshers and the location is sound.

I was bullied out of my flat and no action was taken to stop the bullying. the way the manage things is unreasonable. the kitten in tiny there is not eunf room for everyone. the washing mashies don't work and ruin your cloths. the room is tiny, the single beds and smaller than a single and are uncountable. defiantly live somewhere else. the only good thing about it is the area Victoria halls and Fenton house are much better options,
