You get what you pay for.......... if you go non catered. I went catered and the food is incredibly unpredictable, sometimes its actually ok and sometimes its bizarre and gross. Plus in the holidays such as easter which it is right now they assume everyone is going home and stop serving food which isn't the case. You pay about £40 extra for the meals a week and its not worth it at all.. however there are no real cooking facilities; there's no oven so if you wanted to cook your own food then you'd have to microwave everything/get a portable hob. There's also no freezer. The rooms themselves are ok but basic, not as bad as Lovaine like. It's liveable. The shared bathrooms are vile because there's always a few scruffy people on your floor, apparently. The internet is fine if you're on one device but if you use multiple it tends to drop.
House manager(s) is useless, showers and bathrooms are very below par, kitchen is tiny and there is no where to socialise, the rooms are a decent size and its location is pretty good to be fair. Would not recommend to spend a year here, go find yourself somewhere else to live.
Great socially, although expensive and there's no where to socialise other than your own rooms. Also the kitchens are TINY, don't be fooled by the big ones they show people on tours, you can't use them. Food is decent, and it's a good laugh.
