Worst place I've ever stayed in. The whole place was dirty and a bit smelly, the lift never really got fixed, kitchen checks every week, loads of noise, people threw rubbish everywhere around the entrance. The internet was really good, though and the room size was alright. It's also way too expensive for what you get. Other halls are better and cost the same.
Loved my time here, fun flat parties, met some great down to earth people. I didn't really see the ensuite as necessary because the chances are you won't have one second year. Carol was the best ever and I would recommend it, I would stay there again if I was a first year again!!
I can't put it into words of how disappointed I am with my experience in these halls. Lift is constantly broken, halls are not cleaned, the whole accommodation has a feel it is locked in the 80s ( and not in a good way). It is embarrassing to bring people round, especially if they are staying the night. The whole place is disgusting and not worth the money. It is worth spending a little more money for private halls then this state.
Outdated, smelly, dirty, the list goes on. The best thing for this place would to be to knock it down all together, lift has been broke for around 90% of academic year and they don't fix it, no extractor fan in my flats kitchen so constantly smells of food in there, only good thing is the location and friendly staff (Carol is lovely)
Stephenson is cheap compared with other halls, but till expensive for what you get. Room size it pot luck and my bed didn't fit in the room properly when I stayed. Staff are friendly. It smells and stuff never gets fixed... also if you don't request a quiet area your flatmates will keep you up
