I was lucky enough to live in this hall whilst completing my MA. The small nature of the hall creates a unique communal experience which, in turn, feeds into the halls strong pastoral care. At Slems you get the opportunity to be known as an individual whilst also being part of a much bigger family. If you are looking for a small hall with a lot going on, this hall is definitely a winner.
St Anselm Hall is not a bad accommodation: rooms are big, people are nice and the bar rocks. However, I have to say that the food is not good, the kitchens are really small and the building has many maintenance issues. I enjoyed my experience here and I really liked the people I met but I don't think it is a party place. If you are a quiet person who doesn´t party a lot, you would totally be in love with this place. Although if you are not, your destiny is to be a Fallowfield garl!!! Y a mis amigos que hablan español, Hulme Hall es tu lugar!
