If you have the choice and the time, do not waste your money on this accommodation. Yes it is near to the university etc, but it will be a waste of your money. Caretakers are not helpful, considerate or kind. Cleaning? They do not do regular checks on this nor clean for you which is fine, but for the amount you pay, not worth it. It really depends on your flatmates too and whether they are clean or not. I am a very clean person and my room is spotless yet I have an issue with fruit flies and insects. If you do not mind them, then this accommodation is fine for you. But if you have a phobia, like me, do not even bother coming here. Choose something more cleaner from the outside and inside. This is the worst accommodation I have stayed at. Reception staff are helpful and nice but at the end of the day, if you keep hassling them like I do, they don't like you. It's their job to deal with any issues you have. But the caretakers (even though they get paid) are inconsiderate
I was lonely, isolated and it didn’t offer a community. If you didn’t get on well with your house mates (or if they just weren’t around like mine) you are on your own. There should be a group communal space where all flats can interact and have a chance to make more friends
Do not live here. It is awful. £127.50 a week is NOT justified whatsoever in these halls. There is constantly workmen in, yet nothing ever works. The WiFi often goes off, we had to bring our own television as the one provided was terrible. We also had to buy our own bin as one was never provided for us. Every flat has different furniture, and so is unfair as our flat has terrible sofas that are so uncomfortable, yet a friend of mine has very comfortable sofas. Overall I would never recommend this accommodation to anyone. The price is not even worth paying considering how close it is to the university buildings.
I loved living in liberty, made lots of friends and felt very secure. Less than 5 minute walk to the Uni. Very social, there is always something going on, it is also just located by the Union which is handy. You will for sure make friends here
i had a really good time living in liberty! The staff are very friendly and maintenance are always around if you need them. Wifi is pretty good. Room, bathroom and lounge is good for what you pay for. Great location to be sociable and make lots of new friend! Would recommend!
Not very good at all. Firstly the social area/kitchen is not good at all, the sofa honestly looked like it had been brought in from the street, ripped and not the right cushions on it. TV is tiny and positioned at the other side of the room so from the sofa you can't see it. The kitchen is ok and there is enough storage for the four of us but the worktop feels cheap and has come off in some places. Moving into the rooms it doesn't look like they have been recently furnished at all, disgusting green carpets and the desk, even though it's quite big, doesn't look very nice. My door is slightly loose as well so if I have the window open it bangs even when closed. Moving on to the window I'm not sure if it is double glazed or not but the sound insulation is non-existent, the road noise is really bad. The bathrooms are ok but I've had a few problems with the shower on/off button sticking. The internet is pretty good. On moving in day they didn't provide parking. Overall I'd say avoid.
