Read Lea Halls Reviews
I am staying at Lea halls about a year now. Today, while I was trying to focus on my assignment I heard mysterious sounds which were coming from my flat. In a moment I thought that there are ghost spinning around my flat. I am afraid for my own safety! Have you ever experienced that guys? If you had please draw a comment in my post! Thank y
Stuff is insane, they dont care about anything. Broken fridge was in the relatively small kitchen from december till the end of my contract and i've been asking to sort it out but noone cared. Electricity was going off every time someone wanted to use a kettle. Way too expensive, was tok mouldy, way too small... ah and lets not forgot about disgusting flatmates who didnt know how to use a flush...
There is mold growing on the walls, and on our mattress. I have also raised the complaint about noise and noisy neighbours, and about smoking, but the manager said they are dealing with it and then just shrugs it off. I made a complaint that my heater was not working in the studio, and i had to wait 4 months before they acknowledged it, in which time i just had to buy my own. They STILL have NOT fixed my heater, and they have offered me a "portable heater", which i have already had to buy. I am NOT happy about this. The fire alarm goes off almost every day, and it always goes off in the middle of the night, or in the evening. The warden came to the office to turn it off, but they came back out without keys because the management locked the keys away from him, meaning the alarm was sounding for over 40 minutes before someone who was called, came to turn off the alarm and to give the warden the keys.
Worth it if you compare to Wenlock with the itty bitty en suite. If you have dirty housemates, it can be the worst especially if you don't agree on a rota. No place to socialise unless you smoke. If you choose a room (1-3/4) and have a view of the car park, you cannot leave your window open 24/7 because of the smoke. Everyone slams the doors in the building. My wifi loves to disconnect regularly and randomly. The people at reception are sometimes useless. Just go private tbh
It is waaay too much money for the smallest room you can imagine and a really small kitchen for six people which is insanity, No one really socializes much because there are no social spaces! there's a small reception room with 3 couches? and that's it, all the rest (some stools) is outside which isn't very pleasant
